Main work consists of: - Check-in & -out - Payments & Receipts - Bookings & Guest inquiries Additionally, volunteers try to host a different activity for the guests every day. From trivia & game nights, to street art tours and food tastings there will be a variety of options to choose from and you are welcomed to suggest and host your very own activity! What you shouldn't expect: - to see the owners of the hostel much - too much of the "free Breakfast" - big parties in Georgetown Thanks Cheryl and Rayson for this experience, you treated me very good and I had two fantastic weeks!

Working reception and hosting activities at the hostel was a creative, engaging, and fulfilling experience. Not only did the owners, Rayson and Cheryl, give me great flexibility to create and host various activities (game nights, yoga, workouts, walking tours), but I also had a loving and quality group of volunteers that worked together to make each guest feel as welcome and comfortable as possible. While there was quite a bit of responsibility on the volunteers since the hosts weren't always at the hostel, it was a joy to have such a big impact on the guests and the overall hostel vibe.

One of my best volunteer experience. Cheryl and Rayson are so trusting and gives you a lot of freedom which is a great opportunity to learn and take responsibility. We had so much fun with the pub crawls, trivia nights and other activities. Met so many amazing people and shared great moments. Georgetown is also such a nice city. A perfect combination between local culture but also tourist friendly. Really recommend to all self going and social travellers!

A experiência trabalhando no hostel foi incrível! Passei duas semanas lá, e se eu pudesse ficaria mais! Rayson e Cheryl são os melhores anfitriões que eu já tive, super simpáticos, ensinam tudo do trabalho com muita paciência, e o trabalho é super tranquilo, zero sobrecarregado. O hostel é um ambiente super agradável, só ouvi comentários bons dos hóspedes e outros voluntários. Vou voltar algum dia com certeza! <3

My experience at the hostel was amazing, Cheryl and Rayson are the kindest bosses ever, the work is super simple, only for 4/5 hrs a day, and the hostel is awesome. I felt like home during these 2 weeks i spent there, would definetly recommend it to someone that is looking for a chill place and warming environment!!

I sprent 3 weeks in the hostel, I enjoyed my stay even if it could have been better. Overall, the hostel is clean, the job is easy, I had a good team of volunteer with me. One thing is that the Owner are not really present physically but Sheryl (one of the boss) is there when we need.

I enjoyed staying here and even decided to extend my stay! There were a few miscommunications but other than that the work itself was easy once you got the hang of it (only had to do reception and organize activities). Always be sure to ask them questions if you don't get something to hopefully avoid the misunderstandings that I came across. Also note that as of now, this ad is based off of before Covid so the location has changed as well as what is offered to volunteers. But all in all I really enjoyed working here and plan to go again one day!
