I recently had an amazing time at the host. It's a peaceful place surrounded by beautiful scenery. If you're looking for a quiet place to relax and plan your next adventure, I highly recommend it. The work is only 2-3 hours a day and quite relaxed, leaving you with plenty of time to join in activities with other backpackers. the host offers a tennis court, kayaks, and a game room. I met some wonderful people there, which made the experience even better. The only downside is that the host needs some renovations, but besides that, I had a great time. Thank you!

I spent 4 weeks here and it was perfect, so quite, surrounded my beautiful mountain and beautiful people. Iv made some really good friends that I'll miss very much. The work doesn't feel like work, just a few hour cleaning isn't anything. Then spending the rest of my days going on walks or swims or attempting to kayak down the shallow rapids without falling in, then spending almost every night playing card games or watching films, and it was really really perfect.

The host was such a relaxing time, the work was very easy and hours were fair- the host is very quiet which means there isn't much work. There is lots of free time to have to yourself and chill with other travellers, you get really close as you spend a lot of time together. I enjoyed relaxing in the sun, going for a swim in the river and playing tennis. The surroundings are beautiful. I also had lots of time to learn to crochet, meditate and chilllllll. Exactly what we wanted from the experience!

I really enjoyed my experience at the host. You can really get in touch with nature, swim in the beautiful Hastings River or do kayaking with the free kayak boats that the host offers you. the host is mostly run by Backpackers, which I enjoyed and had a lot of fun with. Also the work is quite relaxing and not very hard. If you want to relax a bit in between your travellings, the host is the perfect place for that.

I enjoyed my time at the host, it's absolutely stunning here and the other volunteers really made the experience! It's better to have a car if you come so you can make food shops whenever you desire. Other than that enjoy the plenty of free time you'll have to do puzzles, play cards, swim and relax

My experience at the host was filled with calmness, peacefulness and breathtaking views at mountains, the river and the valley. A great opportunity to experience a different side of Australia, get time for yourself, plan your future travelling and just relax for a while. The work wasn't that hard and there was still a lot of free time to get creative, watch shows, read and explore the nature around the host. It was nice to have some other volunteers as well to chill, cook & work together.

This was an experience like no other. You find yourself doing relatively easy work on a the host which make you somewhat secluded with a group of similar travellers which can create a bond like no other. At the same time there is still enough to do with kayaks, a tennis court, platypus creeks and potential hikes starting from a beautiful valley with nature and all sort of wildlife literally on your doorstep.

The host is the perfect place to have time in nature and a break from city/coastal hostels. Being inland and rural without being too far from society. A great way to learn more about the Australian way of farm living, but still having the luxury of a the host. Being here made me so much more comfortable living amongst bugs and wildlife. The free time in the middle of nowhere gave me a sense of calmness and time to recharge and plan my next steps. It is preferable to have a vehicle though, so you can explore the surrounding little towns and national parks.

We enjoyed meeting the other travellers working at the host. The work tasks are fair. We got offered a paying role soon after arriving. Unfortunately the host is not run very efficiently, it's very disorganized. There were times where we felt disrespected by the owners. It was a good place to disconnect from city life. Would recommend going with a partner as it can get lonely.

It is a shame you have had to publicly voice your concerns on here jeopardizing our business. We both know it wasn't working out for you at the resort since we could not have two chefs in the kitchen 24/7 being you and your friend. We gave you great responsibility for when the manager was on leave which you disregarded and left 3 weeks early. Albeit you were fantastic in the kitchen however, this would not be enough when the roles here were to also do reception and housekeeping. All the best.

I had a lovely time at the host. I met some amazing people and it was a good place to calm down and relax. I wish there would have been a bit more activities to do, but it was still an experience I won't forget!
