My experience at New Stay Inn was unforgettable. Hosts Josh and Hara were incredibly welcoming, making getting acclimated to both work and life in Seoul manageable. The workload and expectations were clear and fair. It left plenty of time to explore the city. Josh and Hara provided great recommendations of places to visit and were always there to answer questions I had. If you're looking for a volunteer opportunity to make valuable connections and build relationships with your fellow volunteers and hosts, this is definitely the way to go.

Starting my first volunteer travel experience at the hostel was one of the best choices I made this year. Located in the central area of Seoul, the hostel was smaller than I expected, but I had everything I needed. Transportation was also very convenient, making it easy to explore the city. The amount of working hours each day may depend on the amount of guests, there were some busier days, but mostly I had no trouble fulfilling my task. The last six weeks made me feel like I had a new home in Korea. Expressing my heartfelt thanks to the hosts and all the volunteers I met here!

Thank you for your helpful feedback. Josh and I have decided to begin volunteer training from now on. This way, clear standards can be applied, and everyone will be able to work under the same conditions.

Thank you again!

Volunteering at New Stay Inn was truly the most rewarding experience of my life. I am deeply grateful to Hara and Josh for the opportunity. The work was straightforward, and both the schedule and tasks were exactly as previously agreed. The facilities are excellent, and the location is ideal for discovering Seoul. From the moment I arrived, the hosts and team made me feel warmly welcomed — as if I had a family in South Korea. We often shared meals and enjoyed meaningful moments together. Thank you sincerely, Hara and Josh.

Where do I begin? I've been at New Stay Inn a long time and it truly feels like home. Josh and Hara were so welcoming and took the time to get to know me, which helped me feel at ease quickly. The work is simple, about 2 to 3 hours a day with plenty of free time. They provide basic food, surprise us with snacks and take us out for meals monthly. I have dietary restrictions and Josh and Hara have always tried their best to accommodate me. Along the way, I've also built genuine friendships here. Josh and Hara's kindness makes this place feel like more than just a stay, it feels like family! 🥰

I didn’t understand how the reply function worked, so I’m only responding now.
We’ll never forget the year we spent together.
Thank you so much, and if you ever have any difficulties during the rest of your time in Korea, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

This was already my second time working and staying at New Stay Inn, and I enjoyed it even more than the first! I became really close with my roommates, and Hara and Josh are also super nice and welcoming. Work usually doesn't take longer than 2-3 hours, and the managers are always there to help if any problems come up. I 100% recommend this experience to everyone, you will have a great time here :)

For anyone considering volunteering in Seoul, this hostel is a solid choice. The location is excellent, and the work is manageable. The volunteer room is a little on the small side, which is the only minor thing, but it's totally worth it. Just don't bring your entire wardrobe!

Volunteering at New Stay Inn has been an amazing experience! I stayed for 5 weeks and shared a room with the other volunteers. The managers, Hara & Josh, are truly kindhearted and welcoming, always making sure you feel included and supported. There are set working hours and work varies depending on the number of rooms. If you finish early, you're free to enjoy the rest of your day. Most shifts take 2–3 hours. The hostel provides basics like rice, bread, eggs, kimchi, etc. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. I've made wonderful memories, met amazing people, and truly enjoyed my time in Korea!
