I had a great time and really enjoyed being this close to nature (as you are really next to the national park fence). You get 3 sri lankan meals a day, which were very good! The tasks were mainly deep cleaning the tents and helping out with small things or whatever you wanted to do. I went on 2 the camping and it was amazing, i learned so much. the staff is very friendly and everyone made me feel welcome. i stayed at the safari camp for one week & for me that was enough. a really nice and unique experience!

This week has become one of the best memories and experiences. We love nature very much and were happy to live in a spacious tent with amenities. The place is very beautiful, eco-friendly and thought out to the smallest detail. The staff is very friendly, everything was explained and shown. I helped them with table setting, cleaning, and ironing. Jonas was doing plumbing work. One day we went on safari and we were lucky enough to see a lot of animals, including a the camping, although the weather was rainy. Thank you so much for this incredible experience!

We felt very welcomed from the first moment we arrived to the camp. Beautiful nature camp site, tent was very spacious and with fan and proper water toilet. Food was amazing 😍 local different currys. We tried all different sri lankan currys in this place, and new food for us. Noel is very welcoming as a person and asked really precisely what we would like to work, so we feel comfortable about the work. We did some small maintenance works with the local team, plumbing, electric works. And also cleaning, dishes, waitressing. Enough time to chill also! Amazing team, experience 11/10 !

The volunteer tents are big, double bed, porch/chairs, bathroom, outdoor shower, mosquito net, fan, shampoo etc. drinking water & 3 delicious Sri Lankan meals everyday. The work is as described it will take a couple days to settle in just be proactive; after mealtimes clean dishes, when guest checkout clean the lodge, sweep, prep the camping, deep clean lodges etc. I travelled solo and was made to feel so welcome by everyone, the chef gave me mini cooking lessons when he would cook and I learned so much from the safari guides. I was so lucky to see 3 leopards on safari. Once in a lifetime 1000/10

When I first arrived everyone was lovely. The longer I stayed the more I realised they have a rule where the staff are too afraid to communicate with volunteers unless its strictly about work, which made me feel like I couldn't connect with the locals. This makes it an isolating experience but if you don't mind keeping to yourself its ok. I got the opportunity to go on 2 the camping which was amazing. Noel is a lovely owner and is always there if you need him. I did get my money stolen there but he was kind enough to sort it out for me.

Thank you for your opinion. Kindly note our staff are professionals in their field and it's a jungle camp and cannot compare to beach boys in a surf hostel. About your loss we do not have any evidence or cctv footage so it may have happened after leaving camp .how ever we have compensated your losses.

My time at the camping was an intense and hands-on experience. The work is primarily physical, so be prepared for tasks that require effort and endurance. Volunteers eat local food, not the meals served to guests. Most of the time, this means simple dishes like rice, so plan accordingly. If you're looking for an immersive, back-to-basics experience in the wild, this is the place for you.

When you choose to volunteer you are part of the staff .if you want Gourmet food you have to book as a customer.. So I guess your expectations were different. And we could not cater to your cultural needs

I had an amazing stay here! It's a peaceful place in the heart of nature, where I woke up every morning to the sound of birds and saw monkeys and peacocks up close. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere. I learned so many new things during my stay and enjoyed their delicious and spicy food. It was an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it!

I spend 1 week there. I like being alone, so for me it was okay to be just with the nature and no other volunteers. But if you are very social person, maybe its not for you if theres no others. It took me 1-2 days to adapt to the nature but after that it was all fine. Its amazing place to see how nature, animals and humans are living together. Once in a lifetime experience. I did 1 Safari when I stayed and it costed me 40€ to enter.

Noel and Cecile are very welcoming people and will make sure you have everything you need. Noel emphasises that you should do tasks you feel comfortable with and take joy in. For the staff it's clearly unusual to have a (Western) girl working with them, but nevertheless they made me feel welcome and were always in for a talk (in basic English) or a laugh. You have to take initiative to work but they'll give a list of basic tasks if you don't know what to do. You're surrounded by beautiful nature and all the animals that come with it. And you get to spend your free time at the gorgeous camp.

Volunteering at the camping Safari was really good. The tasks basically consisted of helping with the maintenance and cleaning of the halls and rooms. All the staff were always kind and helpful. You'll be close to a large national park, so go knowing you'll interact with nature. I highly recommend this experience.
