La experiencia

I'm Miguel, and I grow life on a small scale through regenerative organic farming in Mira, a green semi-urban village by the sea. We produce our own compost, grow seasonal veggies, and sell locally. It's all about sustainability, real food, and reconnecting people with nature through hands-on work and mindful living.

Programa detallado

In our regenerative garden in Mira, days are filled with meaningful, hands-on tasks. We care for animals, prepare no-dig garden beds, sow and plant seasonal crops, make our own compost, and manage weeds naturally. We also harvest, rotate crops, mulch, water wisely, and maintain the space with love and intention. Everything we do helps restore soil health, grow real food, and reconnect with nature's rhythms.

Actividades & Turnos

During their stay, volunteers will have the chance to participate in various activities in the garden, focusing on regenerative agriculture and teamwork. Tasks include feeding the animals, preparing garden beds, planting, sowing, composting, manual weed control, and general garden maintenance. Additionally, there are construction projects to improve the space's infrastructure.

Shifts will be 6 hours a day during the week, with the flexibility to work full days to ensure more rest days. This will allow volunteers to explore nearby cities and the surrounding area of Mira, taking the opportunity to discover the region and relax.

Meals will be shared as a group, creating moments of togetherness and experience exchange, while enjoying fresh, local food grown in the garden.

Reglas

Life in the Garden: Easygoing and Organized

Here in the garden, the goal is simple: work together, learn, and enjoy the time. To keep things running smoothly, we just have a few basic rules:

Respect comes first – respect the land, the work, and the people around. Good energy makes the work flow and makes everything more fun. And to keep that good energy, keeping spaces clean and organized is essential. The garden and common areas need daily care to ensure everyone is comfortable and on the same page.

Being punctual helps make the most of the day, but the most important thing is working as a team. Here, every task is an opportunity to grow and learn from each other. No one works alone – we’re a team, and we all help one another.

Meals are always shared as a group, to enjoy the work and fresh food from the garden. It’s the time to relax and exchange stories.

And, of course, respecting nature is key. We work sustainably and take care of the soil to ensure everything grows in a healthy, natural way.

These rules help maintain harmony and make the experience richer for everyone. In the end, the most important thing is to live in the moment, learn from the land and each other, and make a difference together!
