I love this place with all my heart! I learned a lot (specially started singing on front of people which was my blockage, thank you, kirtan😅) and spent the wonderful time. Food was amazing, activities beautiful and I even got a task to do an architectural project (my degree)! What I will recommend to the volunteers who are planning to came here - is to read the description of the profile, since not everybody who comes knows that this is an ashram. I had an amazing time with all of you, thanks for everything, the eco village! Hope to come back one day :) 🫶

Experiência única que me proporcionou muito aprendizado. Escutar os locais foi enriquecedor, e me conectar com os outros voluntários tornou a estadia mais legal no geral. Recomendo pra quem está disposto a sair um pouco da zona de conforto. Os trabalhos são braçais e um pouco cansativos, mas no final compensa.

It was interesting to learn about the movement and meet so many devotes so live they're life that way. There was a variety of work often cleaning and gardening, and I enjoyed getting to spend time in nature. Everyone was welcoming and open to teaching about the ways they did things.

It was a good experience where I met very nice people and I was able to connect with nature (prepare yourself to get your shoes muddy and be happy in the process). Everyone tried their best to be helpful and kind, always with respect. On the work side, sometimes it was hard but you have the chance to talk about it in case it's too much and do another kind of activities. I would like to come back in Summer because there is a different variety of jobs to do. Thank you for making me feel welcome and comfortable!

It is a very good experience as you can learn a little about the Hindu religion and its culture. The place around the castle is very beautiful and meeting new volunteers is the best!

I spent a month at the temple and it was one of the most intense experiences of my life. I met some really kind devotees and made good friends with other volunteers. Regarding the work, I feel that there is a lack of communication and organization, but nothing really serious. The activities are nice and the Indian food is good. I will probably go back soon 💖

This is the second time I come to New Mayapour in 2 months ;) It's always really nice, especially now that I reconnected with the people from here. The environment is nice, but in winter the weather is not the nicest so I recommend coming in spring/summer. also because there is much more variety of outdoor activities to do.

Un ambiente pacifico e nel complesso una bella esperienza! Cibo buonissimo e personale molto accogliente. L'unico appunto che vorrei fare è che essendoci in inverno pochi volontari (noi eravamo in 3) non abbiamo avuto molta possibilità di scegliere l'attività che ci sarebbe piaciuto più fare, se non per alcune eccezione. Consiglio comunque l'esperienza a chi volesse approfondire la spiritualità Hare Krishna e riconnettersi con la natura !

4 stars - because in the end, I'm glad I decided to visit this place. However, you should be aware that Nouvelle the eco village village is a religious temple (research ISKCON) and if you don't agree with certain beliefs/practices, it can be hard to feel completely at home. Living in the temple challenged my own open-mindedness, which I liked, but without the dear friends I found there I would've felt lonely at times. Maybe try it for 1-2 weeks before you decide to stay longer, especially if you're traveling alone!

The people here are very friendly, the food was also good, I am grateful for this opportunity to have an interesting cultural exchange with people from different parts of the world and learn about a new religion. Thank you very much for everything.
