I stayed 2,5 weeks at the shelterin january '24, together with another volunteer. The dogs and the people who work there are all really friendly. Aitziber is really well organised and responses fast. The work is easy, you should like dogs and not be afraid of dirt and dog poop ;-) I really liked they gave us some work clothes. Public Transport ist cheap and works well. However I would love if the dogs spend way more time outside the kennels in the dog parks of the residence and if the kennels themselves would be more comfy for the dogs.

I stayed one month in the shelterand learned a lot! The work load was really manageable and consisted mostly out off cleaning the dog kennels and some handy work. All dogs are super friendly! In the surrounding area there is little to do but you have a nearby bus and train connection. Also there is a supermarket in walking distance which is great because you have to provide all the meals for yourself. The communication with the host was always easy and they are approachable. Though you mostly live and work alone unless there is another volunteer. Gracias a todos!
