Tuve una experiencia maravillosa como voluntario limpiando las jaulas de perros. El equipo era muy acogedor y la ubicación cerca de un Mercadona facilitaba todo. Gracias al autobús número 25, llegábamos fácilmente a la ciudad. Además, disfrutamos de café ilimitado. ¡Recomiendo esta experiencia a todos!

Esta experiencia era fantastica!! Me encanta la ciudad de San Sebastian y todos los perros son muy preciosos. La gente en Leorpe son muy amables y simpáticas, me encantaba trabajar con ellos. Tienes un cuarto compartido y es ruido en la noche porque los perros son ladrando pero no es un problema. Necesitas esta bien con estar sucio de los perros. Hay un bus al lado del Leorpe que va directamente a la ciudad. Quería quedar por más tiempo. Aplica por esta experiencia, era lo mejor!! Muchas gracias a Aitziber y las otras personas en Leorpe :)

Ha sido mi primer voluntariado así que no tengo punto de comparación, pero me ha gustado mucho la experiencia. Más que nada por la oportunidad de poder estar en esta ciudad. Aitziber y Lander son muy amables, el trato es cordial. Gracias por la oportunidad 🫶🏻 Los trabajadores son muy amables. Hay que considerar que más que convivir con los perritos es darle mano de limpieza a sus jaulas. Y también tomar en cuenta que el desayuno que se ofrece es solo café, y la lavandería es compartida con los artículos de los perros. Creo que estos dos puntos se pueden mejorar o de inicio no ofrecer.

Se publica como refugio animal, aunque realmente es un albergue canino y felino, las tareas por hacer son fáciles, sin embargo se corre riesgo de infección por parásitos debido al contacto directo que se tiene con materia fecal de perros no desparasitados, los perros que le tocan cuidar a los voluntarios están asinados en pequeños espacios para la cantidad de animales que se mantienen ahí, no se les da recreación a los animales que cuidan los voluntarios más que en los momentos en que se limpian las jaulas, aitziber y los trabajadores son muy amables y amigables, agradezco mucho su trato.

Recomiendo este voluntariado si te gustan mucho los perros y el trabajo al aire libre. Las tareas son sencillas y fáciles de realizar! Requieren de poner el cuerpo para el cuidado de los perros. Siempre se respetó el horario y días de ayuda ☺️ Los días libres pude conocer el centro de la ciudad y ciudades/pueblitos cercanos, hay trenes y buses con frecuencia. Estuve un mes y realmente se me pasó muy rápido! Aitziber es muy buena! Fui la primera voluntaria así que estoy segura que el refugiova a seguir mejorando para los próximos voluntarios, gracias Aitziber y flia. por alojarme!

If you like dogs and nature and you aren't afraid of getting dirty during work then this is for you! the work wasn't that hard but you need patience for some dogs. i really loved my time there, the city is beautiful and the public transport is also affordable and great. you can also travel to other cities on your free days. the host and the other employees really nice and friendly and welcoming they helped me whenever i needed them. i can recommend this but you also have to be aware that there are a lot of dogs obviously so there are smell and dirt sometimes also noise but it's manageable.

My stay at the shelterwas very nice. Aitziber and the team was super welcoming and I felt comfortable. The work was completely fine, you shouldn't have problems with dogs and their poo of course. I can recommend the shelterfor everyone who wants to stay in nature!

I stayed 2,5 weeks at the shelterin january '24, together with another volunteer. The dogs and the people who work there are all really friendly. Aitziber is really well organised and responses fast. The work is easy, you should like dogs and not be afraid of dirt and dog poop ;-) I really liked they gave us some work clothes. Public Transport ist cheap and works well. However I would love if the dogs spend way more time outside the kennels in the dog parks of the residence and if the kennels themselves would be more comfy for the dogs.

I stayed one month in the shelterand learned a lot! The work load was really manageable and consisted mostly out off cleaning the dog kennels and some handy work. All dogs are super friendly! In the surrounding area there is little to do but you have a nearby bus and train connection. Also there is a supermarket in walking distance which is great because you have to provide all the meals for yourself. The communication with the host was always easy and they are approachable. Though you mostly live and work alone unless there is another volunteer. Gracias a todos!
