Connect with Nature and Regeneration on a Goat Farm in Costa Rica
La experiencia
We are a small family-run regenerative farm on Costa Rica’s Central Pacific, focused on goat dairy production with a regenerative approach. Volunteers help care for animals, clean stalls, harvest, make cheese, build and maintain structures, care for fruit trees, make compost and bio ferments, and keep the processing area clean — all while learning about sustainable and regenerative farming.

Travelers will be provided with a private room equipped for 2 people. The cabin, has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living and lounging area, full bathroom and laundry area.
Please consider that we usually host multiple couples at the same time and that the main cabin is meant to be shared by the travelers. It is expected from the travelers to keep and maintain their rooms and the cabin clean and to perform such cleaning tasks on their personal time. If more than one couple is hosted at the time the cleaning tasks are to be evenly distributed.
We will provide food for the travelers to cook brunch and dinner for themselves at the cabin.
Actividades & Turnos
- Work shift starts at 8am and ends at 1pm from Mon thru Fri or Wed thru Sun.
- Volunteers are expected to start the day performing the routing tasks at the farm like cleaning the goat stalls, chicken coops, collecting eggs and feeding the animals. Once the routine is finished other tasks will be assigned, these will vary according to the projects that are being carried out at the moment but will be related to animal care, building, maintenance, planting different crops, caring for fruit trees, harvesting or such.
- Volunteers can collaborate with selling products at the farmers market stand during the Sunday Fairs.
Reglas
- Volunteer must be aware that farmwork might be heavy from time to time and we don't expect them to overwork themselves, but we do need them to perform the assigned tasks.
- We have limited access to certain services like public transportation.
- Farm life implies exposure to animals, also since we are surrounded by forest you can expect the presence of wildlife and a wide variety of insects in the main cabin. The volunteer must observe the safety instructions provided in the guest guide.
- The person must know how to clean a house properly since keeping their rooms, appliances and cabin clean and tidy is their responsibility.
- We expect volunteers to be environmentally conscious and don't tolerate heavy drugs or alcohol use.
- Volunteers must read the volunteering contract which will be provided beforehand and sign it upon their arrival.
