La Experiencia

Hi, this is Jack, the manager of the hostel. We're looking for the volunteers who are nice, friendly, responsible. The tasks will be general housekeeping and cleaning. We offer free accommodation, bedroom&bathroom with 1-2 day offs and the detailed schedule will be notified. For the training purposes, there will be no days off for the first week/first 7 days to be easier to complete the tasks by yourself also.

The experience was pretty. The host, Jack was very nice and comprehensive. The working hours might vary depending on the day and number of guests. Sometimes when we finished very late Jack ordered food for me and my coworker. Also if we need something Jack is always willing to help us at anytime :) If I have the opportunity I would do it again. Thanks Jack for let me be part of your team ~~

Jack was very welcoming and accommodating . He's not a micromanager and he's always responsive and willing to help whenever we needed anything. He's very respectful and so were the volunteers. Everyone was friendly and easy to get along with. The work wasn't overwhelming and I got a hang of it quickly and easily. There's plenty to do in the area and I had lots of free time in the afternoon or evenings to explore Jongno . The room was small but decent and you get a private bathroom to yourself. It was a great experience, thanks for the opportunity Jack. It was nice teaming up with you.

One of the best places to volunteer in Korea :) Each volunteer gets its own private room and bathroom. The hours are fair, starting at 11:00am and then taking care of the rooms and common areas at your own pace. The neighborhood is fantastic. The palaces are basically a block away. Tons of beautiful coffee shops and great restaurants, too. Also, and this is super important, Jack is such a pleasant and fair person. He even helped me when my computer broke down and I had to buy things online, trying to fix it. I'm super grateful for this experience and I hope I can come back in the future.

I had a great time at the guest house. The location is really good and central so it was really easy to go to different parts of Seoul relatively quickly. The hours and work varies depending on how busy it is but is very manageable and start time is pretty flexible as long as things get done by the check in time. Communication with Jack is really easy and often quick and I had a good experience with the other volunteers I worked with as well. I would recommend anyone to try this if you're considering it 🙂

I was supposed to the hostel one month but I extended to two and I wish I could the hostel longer. I will definitively come back though. You have your own room, the location is perfect, the work is easily doable and Jack is an amazing host! He's very kind, thoughtful and supportive. I really recommend staying at the hostel.
