La Experiencia

We're offering sole use of a self-catering wooden cabin that is usually rented out for short-term lets on airbnb. In return, we'd like some help with internal painting and decorating. We are 6 miles from a bus station in Ballater. Buses from Ballater run into Aberdeen and the Ember bus to Dundee and Edinburgh. Access to munros and hills right from the property. Great biking, walking and opportunities to swim in local rivers.

We had such a lovely experience at the guest house. Lina is an amazing host who made us feel very welcome, communicated well, and was interesting and friendly to talk to. We were there in the winter so all of our jobs were inside - it was just a few hours a day and the work was very manageable and attainable. The location is beautiful and there are many walks to go on. Definitely recommend!

I had the most amazing experience! I was here for one week and enjoyed every minute of it, was even sad leaving! lina the host is such a warm, kind and joyful person! she has such a beautiful soul! she will go over and beyond to ensure you're comfortable and safe and setting in well. she gives you a list of tasks to complete in your own time and gives you space to complete them without being over your shoulder. she is so thankful and greatful for the help which makes it all worth the while! I would definitely go here again!

A truly incredible and incredibly true experience :) The host welcomed me warmly and made me feel at ease from the get-go, helping me to feel right at home. Each task was mapped out in good detail which I was able to carry out and complete in my own time (each proving simple, fun and flexible). The overall atmosphere was relaxed and the host and her amazing family (including Jura the family dog) were kind, upbeat and terrific company. Nestled between lush green mountains and vast woodland, the cabin is quaint and homely and has everything you need. Thank you, Lina :):):)

We had an amazing time at the guest house. Lina was an incredible host and was a fantastic communicator before we arrived. We stayed in our own adorable and cozy cabin on her property and we were immediately treated like family. She was extremely clear about all the jobs she needed completed on the first day and then gave us full autonomy to complete them in our own time during the week. She also brought us to local hiking trails on our days off which was outstanding. Being surrounded by nature and beauty was a huge perk. So peaceful! Highly recommend this experience. We are so sad to leave!!
