My experience at the hostel was good! My favorite parts were getting to go hiking in the mountains in Brasov and surrounding cities -SO pretty!- and working with Raul, the manager, who is super chill and funny guy. However, the hostel itself is a bit run down, with some things not working all the time, there was not a lot happening at the hostel itself, and I never met the owner, though she was nice over messages, it made me feel like this place was not much of a community.

I don't recommend this experience. I did my tasks and if I messed up I was always willing to rectify it. But the Owners and managers were just not it.they just got mad one day because I was waiting for my cleaning tasks in the group, which is how I had always done during my stay. They said they didn't like my attitude, insulted and yelled at me for making a sarcastic comment(which I recognise was wrong, but was took so exag)but was still left gracefully and I received passive agressive messages from the owner who wanted me to stay and pay morefor my bed lol. Bad communication and bad vibes!!

The city is really beautiful, the hostel is nice and the job, specially reception is really easy. The con is that since they just changed owners it's a bit disorganized, by the time we got there everyone including the manager was new. I'm just glad we met nice people, guests and other volunteers!

I rlly appreciate everything in this voluntee but I don't recommend this, at the beginning it was good! Then in my 2nd I didn't clean well one bath and the kitchen (I know it's wasn't good) but the owner basically say to me I don't know how to clean like 3 times ,everything was good with the manager, very kind and friendly, then 1 day he hear a girl complaining and I was there, and he yelled at both of us telling us that we were Immature girls and bbys and that our work was not good, etc. the point is that on both side it's not okcomplaining and it's not ok insult. Besides he gives us + tasks

The hostel is in a great location in the heart of Brasov. Brașov had events on nearly every weekend I was there, and there are plenty of places to explore nearby The ownership changed while I was there, so there was alot of confusion as the new owners got up to speed. Both sets of owners were rarely present, however the team was top notch. I was there for 2 months and worked with many other volunteers. The sleeping arrangements are a bit complicated, there's 4 beds in a staff dorm, however there were often more than 4 volunteers so I was sleeping in an overflow dorm. The room was great.

The city of Braşov was very charming and beautiful. The hostel is located in the old town and is close to many shops, restaurants and bars. When arriving at the hostel we were greeted by Jared, he really helped us to settle in. We later found out that Jared is just a volunteer who had to take on more responsibility as there's no permanent member of the team. The owners were hardly ever present and didn't seem to care about the hostel or their volunteers, I don't think they even knew who I was despite being there for 2 weeks which made it hard to motivate myself to work for them.

This was my first time volunteering at a hostel. The job was pretty easy. Working at the reception was new for me and a good experience. I wish the introduction had been clearer, so I would have learned faster. The managers Sorina and Jozef are lovely people. They also have another company to take care of, so sometimes it felt like we had too much responsibility. They did help us if we had any questions. The hostel is on the main street. Brasov is a wonderful city with a lot to see. It is also a perfect starting point if you want to hike and explore the surroundings. I reccomand you to go!

Brasov is a charming place with lots to do not only there but also around the cities in the Transylvania region, incredible for those who want to be close to nature and still enjoy all the history that the country has to offer. The hostel is extremely well located and the facilities are comfortable (I was there on fall). The work is also very chill and fair. I volunteered there at a especific moment that there were some management problems that cause some communication issues, but in general I recommend that you get to know Romania! Thank you! :)

The hostel was a welcoming environment, and the city of Brasov was beautiful and fun to explore with the other volunteers who were amazing. However the change of management could've been handled better, regarding the volunteers and resulted in confusion. Overall it was a lovely place to stay, and had lots of great hiking routes !

Brasov is such a lovely city. Lots of character and a great location for city and nature. What was shown online is a bit different than what we got. It felt a little mismanaged, and at times it was hard to get in contact with the owners, so there was a bit more responsibility on us volunteers. Other than that, it's a cool spot, and pretty easy cleaning duties .
