Susie is so kind! The most welcoming place you'll experience. I appreciated the free time and the ability to see so much of the area. The work was just right, I never felt it was unfair or too much. Highly recommend trying a stay at Balmahgie house.

My experience in Scotland couldn't been more pleasant! Suzie is a great Lady who enjoys to be with people and in nature with her animals, and not only because of that, my time in her house was amazing! I could rest, work and enjoy the beautiful region of Galloway! I would recommend always!

I loved my time with Susie, she is such a lovely soul! She made me feel very welcome and was very caring! I loved the animals and they were also very friendly. I met many locals and I could improve my english skills. The working hours were kinda confusing at first, but you can make an easy agreement with Susie about it. I loved to be there!

I had a great time in the farm; I came at a difficult time for Susie's family, who still welcomed me with open arms. I miss all the animals dearly and I loved connecting with rural Scottish life. That said, the job might not be right for you if you're not a flexible self-starter. There aren't really days off as there is always something to do around the estate. This didn't bother me, but I think it could be difficult if you're working remotely. I would also note that Susie and her family are avid fox hunters so this position may not be for you if you're sensitive to that. Thank you, Susie! <3

A anfitriã solicita constantemente tarefas, falando rápido e ocasionalmente não as explica de maneira didática. Ela pode complicar tarefas simples, preferindo que sejam feitas a sua maneira. As instalações são ótimas e algumas atividades foram pesadas. A alimentação é composta principalmente por itens próximos do vencimento, devido à economia. Há possibilidade de trabalhar mesmos nos fins de semana. Identificamos o idioma como um obstáculo significativo, ideal ter inglês intermediário ou avançado! Muitas vezes nos sentimos como funcionários e não voluntários! Agradecemos a experiência!

This was an amazing opportunity and would definitely go back! The family was incredibly inviting and made you feel at home the second you stepped through the door. I have made memories here that I will hold on to for the rest on my life.

Where do I start…My first Worldpacker experience was a 10/10. Susie made my dreams come true. I've met lovely locals, found new friends with which I exchanged storys and numbers and I was absolutely mesmerized by natur around where I stayed. My jobs where completly doable and not to much. I had a fantastic time learning about the Scotish culture. I was allowed to come to supper partys, traditionell events, and many many lovely rides with the horses. Susie encouraged me to grow beyond myself. Every journey we did turned out to be fantastic. I fell in love with the animals, people and Scotland!

My stay at Susie's was good overall. I learned a lot about myself and found peace while surrounded by nature and animals. Susie is a very good host even if the hours and schedules aren't really organized but we found an agreement. The bedroom is so cozy and the neighbors are really welcoming and friendly.

I enjoyed my time in the Scottish landscape, it was a beautiful setting and loved my time spent with the animals. The hours were a bit confusing for us as there was not set schedule
