I had a great experience volunteering at Sae Lao! I loved teaching the kids and taking part in the project. The staff is amazing and I really enjoyed meeting other travelers and connecting with the local community while doing something meaningful :) Thank you to the whole team! However the dorm situation could definitely be improved as well as the hygiene in general, which made the experience less enjoyable for me.

I had so much fun at Sae Lao! The children are adorable and very eager to learn English. The team was very nice and welcoming. It's a bit more work than wat is mentioned on Worldpackers and the accomodation is not great. But I would definitely come back here to help the kids and make a difference!!!🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

I had the best time here. The Saelao team were wonderful, always on hand to help with ANYTHING and EVERYtHING. It really did feel like a family. The children were an absolute pleasure to teach. They really want to learn and it felt like I was really giving back, even if it was in a small way. It was so hard to say goodbye after two weeks. I learnt so much about Laos and myself while here. I would recommend volunteering here to anyone that is interested.

I absolutely loved my two weeks at Sae Lao. As a backpacker, having two weeks where I could stop moving and immerse myself in one place was amazing. The project was well set up and it was great to be working with so many other international volunteers. I made some incredible friends that I travelled with after. The teaching was such a rewarding experience. From the very beginning they were welcoming and loving giving us flowers and drawings. At times it was difficult to communicate and teach but you learn a lot very quickly about how to do so. We did other activities to help including garden

Saelao can provide you really good opportunities to interact with the local culture, you just have to seek it. The team can teach you Laos cuisine, mention the best viewpoints to visit, they can take you to best night clubs in Vang Vieng and support you preparing the English classes to children. The site is surrounded by beautiful mountains and full of wildlife, if you like to support local communities like and don't mind to spot a frog or even a snake from time to time then you should check it out.

I had an incredible two weeks volunteering in Laos, teaching English and immersing myself in the local community. The place holds a unique charm. I had the privilege of learning to cook traditional Laotian dishes and, more importantly, connecting with amazing people. What made this experience special was the genuine enthusiasm of the children to learn during the classes. Their eagerness and appreciation made teaching truly rewarding. During our free time, there were numerous activities to engage in. I recommend this program to anyone seeking a meaningful and diverse volunteer opportunity.

Teaching, living in community with the other volunteers and Laos team, exploring Laos and taking care of the center make this experience wonderful. Foods were very good, Laos team, long period volunteers and the staff have been always available to support for any needs. Really recommend.
