Lannie's farm is a little paradise where you have the chance to be fully present with yourself and the healing of the farm. She is an amazing person, always trying to make you feel at home and cooking super healthy food straight from the garden. You take bath in the river, you do your necessities in the wild and go to bed early to wake up full of energy. Activities are walking Manni her dog, general easy cleaning or even making cacao. You live completely off grid so be prepared for the retreat vibe experience. Definitely not for everyone but if you surrender it will be so rewarding. Mahalo

I had a very interesting time at Lani's farm. For me, it was a completely new experience to live without electricity or sanitary facilities and i recommend it to everyone who wants to challenge themself! Lani is a nice host and the tasks are also pretty easy. It is a different life style and it can be hard to adjust to it but it's worth a try! And you will have time to calm down, reconnect with nature and let go of the travel stress :) i recommend it for the experience!

I volunteered at this ecological farm, disconnecting from social media due to the lack of electricity. I woke up and used the woods as my bathroom, then walked to the creek to shower. Afterwards, Lannie would wait for me with a super healthy breakfast. I also walked her dog, Mani. The place was so relaxed and in touch with nature. Lannie has many animals that keep her company. This place felt like a retreat - one week of healthy food and surrounded by nature. Thank you Lannie for letting me live this experience Lots of love 💕

The host Lannie was really nice and wants you to feel comfortable. The thing that wasn't really great is the toilet and showering situation. Because there's no electricity I dindn't expect much but I did expect that there's at least a compost toilet with some toilet paper. Instead we had to go into the forest without any toilet paper but leaves to clean yourself up. You would shower in the river but because there wasn't any information about that I dindn't bring soap or shampoo that's biodegradable. Over all the information on the page are not up to date and I just couldn't stand it anymore.

Unfortunately this was not my cup of tea, I had a different image regarding how I thought it would be so I'm going to ad som more information so that you can decide on your own if this is what your looking for. 1 we didn't use any soap when washing the dishes, only rain water. 2 where you will be sleaping is not the most hygienic place in my opinion and if it's raining the mattress will get wet in at least 2 of the rooms. 3 it is not strictly that you do your work and then your free, here is more like your always on duty to help her, ( the tasks are very simple )

This experience was eye opening and beautifully immersion. You learn how to live off the land without modern amenities which was challenging at times. Lannie is gracious, loving, and welcoming. If you come prepared for insects and the natural elements it can be a deeply rewarding stay where you learn to cherish nature. I would've definitely stay here longer if I was more prepared to face the elements. Truly a life changing opportunity. 🌿 ✨️🙏🌏🌸

Lannie is full of vigor and life despite her 70+ years, and she puts this down to the wholesome food she grows and cooks, and living in the depths of nature without access to electricity, flushing toilets/running water or the Internet. She made me feel welcome and I had a living space all to myself (I was the only volunteer). When she told me that my only task would be to walk Mani the dog, I must admit I expected that I would be able to do more, but she insists on doing everything herself or with the help of Adelio, her 'right-hand man'. I had plenty of free time to self-reflect...

Lani, the owner of this farm is such a lovely person and you get to learn a lot about your connecting with the nature and spirituality. The little farm is very off-grid but very cute and peaceful with a lot of animals around. The only negative thing I have to say is that there is not a lot of things to do so sometimes it was a little bit boring but fair to say, we only have been there for 2 days, so maybe we would have had more work on the other days. All in all it is a perfect place to find yourself and grow with your own company. :)
