Nils & Helen are amazing hosts who pay close attention to volunteers' well-being. The mansion was closed since it was off season, so my task mainly consists of clearing up storage and garden area. It was quite physical but Nils always makes sure we have safe gears before any task. Helen cooks really well and I miss the peace and quiet there. Overall it was a great experience!

The place is wonderful and I felt at home, I had many different activities, improved my English, prepared traditional Swedish foods, and had an experience of a traditional Swedish evening with dinner and Swedish music from a band at one of the events they had, I experienced and learned a little about Swedish culture and its Christmas traditions. The hosts are always very concerned about the well-being of the volunteers. I had many experiences I had never had before, making this adventure even more incredible. I loved it, and this was one of my best volunteer jobs. Thank you very much N&H.

Helle and Nils are amazing hosts, they are attentive, caring, thoughtful, patient and flexible. They let us use their car sometimes to go to Växjo or on a route. They make delicious meals, and they got me addicted to fika! You will fall in love with their decorating skills, the lake and the surrounding nature. The work was mostly preparing the rooms, doing laundry, washing dishes, cleaning, and rearranging furniture for events, which always were interesting and fun. Overall, it's been a lovely experience, thank you for this beautiful month💜

This has been one of the most magical experiences of my life so far! I was welcomed with open arms by the most kind-hearted, beautiful people imaginable and that continued throughout my stay here. The work was really diverse and the hours were just as advertised. Nils & Helle went out of their way to ensure I always had everything I needed, and they made the most delicious meals for me! I can't recommend this experience enough, you would be missing out if you didn't come here to make lifelong friends and memories. Tack så mycket Nils & Helle, see you again next year for sure! 🥰

I loved volunteering at the hostel! The place really is incredible!!! Nils and his family are really cool! In this experience, I learned several tasks that I will carry with me for life, the work was easy, we had all our meals, and at the end of the day we enjoyed kayak on the lake in front or bicycle. On the weekends, we went to the center of Vaxjo or nearby cities and it was wonderful! Thank you very much Nils and Helle S2

I spent 2 weeks here. We helped renovating the mansion, did some cleaning works when guests visited the hostel and hotel. Also we lived in the hostel rooms which were clean, cozy and quiet. The hosts Nils and Helle are very friendly and other volunteers too. On weekends we went to Växjö for dancing and music performance in Kafe the hostel. Nils and Helle also invited us to dinner in town and showed us some secret spots in Växjö. Very secret and cool to go there! Also, grandma's cooking was amazing! I like masticating by the lake and stargazing at night. Great first Worldpackers experience!

It was a wonderful experience. I spent 3 weeks here and everything was perfect. Nils, Helle and all the family are amazing, open minded and always very kind. It was fantastic to work with them and feel the love and passion they have for their project. Furthermore, the workplace is beautiful, it feels like being in a fairy tale and the surrounding nature is breathtaking. It's a little piece of paradise. The work required is fair and not difficult. Accommodation for volunteers is clean and very confortable. I recommend it to anyone who wants to spend time immersed in nature :)

The experience at the hostel the hostel was wonderful!!💫. I spent days that will be unforgettable. Nils, Hellen, their children and the staff are warm and very friendly. Oda, the eldest daughter is adorable, and Nils's mom is amazing. They always make you feel like family. the hostel is a really beautiful place surrounded by a nature reserve and a lake. Were days being very in touch whit nature that I'll never forget🌻🪻🌷🌺🌾. Seeing the sky with thousands of stars at night is exciting🌠. I'm very grateful to you and I hope to see you again!!!
