Our hostel is located in the central of Izu Peninsula, "Shuzenji", well known as one of the famous and historical onsen (hot spring).

Cleaning is mainly required. However, you're interested in reception, we'd be happy with your offer, which benefits you great Japanese practice!

【We're sorry that one of my properties is no longer available to offer you. We couldn't help but change the terms from April 2024.】

Descripción: Volunteers contribute $169 (25,000 yen) per month to cover rent, electricity bills, water bills, and other living supplies. There is an onsen (hot spring) next to the facility, which staff may use for free. Once a week, we will take you to the supermarket if you need to buy any groceries. Volunteers staying longer than a month will need to pay additional fee.

Programa detallado

Located in Shuzenji located an hour and a half from Tokyo by train.
Good access to anywhere both urban and nature.
When it comes to hot spring, it is just around the corner.

Not only we are looking forward for your help, but also we hope you will enjoy your time in Izu.



Actividades & Turnos

August 6th ~ 21st / September 1st ~ 】

2~3 hours at most /day, 4 days/week maximum

Most important thing to say is we are trying to make this hostel tidy and not make our guests disappointed and uncomfortable, so we NEED volunteers who will be willing to help us with high motivation.

・Job description :
① changing bed sheets,
② Vacuuming
③ Cleaning toilets / sinks / bathtub / kitchen
④ Fold sheets, throw trash out...

Help make our hostel clean.

・Work time : 10:00-13:00 (usually finish around noon)
・Work days : 4 days / week
・Day off (Free time) : 3 days / week and after cleaning
・Period : At least 15~30 days(Longer is preferable)
・Skill : To work easier, some greeting phrases in Japanese will be helpful (If needed we'd be happy to help you learn)

・Onsen(hot spring) is offered everyday for free, from 17:00 ~ 23:00.
・Best for Japanese learners who wants to brush up the level.

▼One note to consider:
Since the volunteer work involves tasks like cleaning and making beds, which require standing, bending, and moving around, it may not be suitable for someone with leg, knee, or lower back issues. Please let us know if you have any concerns or physical limitations, and we’ll be happy to discuss it with you.

◆In our hostel, not to mention, the guests have priorities.

◆Greeting our guests! Either in English or Japanese, simple Japanese is okay.

◆Get familiar with the area (travel tips and restaurant recommendations)!
Please share them with our guests!

◆You are going to live in the house, me, Ryohey owns.

◆Please make sure not to bother our neighbors, keep it clean, and
consider your flat mate. Please follow all house rules and trash rules,
no smoking inside the house.
 Also wi-fi is available at the house but data plan is limited, 15GB per month,
shared among the 3 of you.

◆Not feeling well? Please let us know beforehand and we will sort out your
shifts. Best to have a travel insurance with you, just in case anything
happens.
