Help Koreans to practice English and make friends! :)

Overall a good experience. We got in touch with some locals and they were quite friendly, their English was mostly advanced beginner to intermediate, though some were not engaging in the conversation and so you just had to keep coming up with questions to ask them. The “provided meals” are just ramen, rice, toast and eggs so the rest you have to buy yourself. The beds are not really nice as they are broken and we were only provided zip ties to fix them, worked out alright but they should be replaced! I would recommend this place, it's doable even if English is not your native language.

I spend a lovely 2 weeks volunteering the host! The beds do really hurt your back and the 3 meals a day are actually just 4 ingredients, but the atmosphere was amazing. I met so many nice people and have formed a tight bond with the other volunteers. I would have loved it if there were more opportunities to bond with the locals. It was just an hour talking one-on-one. Maybe a pub crawl or social evening with the locals would have been a better way to bond and get to see their way of living.

Definitely not a social place to hang out if it's what you're looking for. It's more like a work the host. The food it's the basics but it's always there. The accommodation it's a small place with quite uncomfortable beds. However Buche-on and the studio it's a beautiful opportunity to meet the locals!

This was my first experience volunteering at a the host, and it exceeded my expectations! I truly cherished the opportunity to connect with locals and engage in meaningful conversations, helping them practice their English skills. The other volunteers were equally amazing; they were friendly, helpful, and truly made me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. Overall, my time at the host was both fulfilling and memorable. I'm grateful for the friendships I formed and the positive impact we made within the community. Thank you, Oscar, and everyone else for such an experience

I had a great time working as a volunteer the host. We had most of the day to ourselves and in the evening we were working at the studio, but only 2 - 3 hours per day. I would definitely recommend the place if you want to get in touch with locals and learn about the korean way of living. I had many very interesting conversations with the koreans at the studio. The volunteers were living in an apartment together which was fine but at some point it was too small considering we were 7 people living there. Oscar also provided us with some basic food but we also had to buy many extras ourselves.

My volunteering period was about a month, therefore I could experience and meet a vast myriad of travalers and students. The work is super enjoyable and easy, and the students that we worked with were eager to learn and practice, making the process all the easier. Adding to that, the working hours could vary from day to day, but pretty easy to adapt all- together. The place where we stayed, was good, with a shared bathroom, laundry machine and basic food ( it is more worth to go and explore nearby restaurants, as there are many) it was a fitting place to rest. Summing up, it was marvelous.

A very enriching experience. The work is easy, the schedule is great for sightseeing and all the students are very friendly. The accommodation is very close to work, in an area full of restaurants and close to the subway to go to Seoul. I take with me a great experience and many new friends. If I can, I would love to repeat the experience in the future!💙

Oscar is a nice host and easy to talk to. Even though he is not fluent at English. The facility was nice but you should know that the food provided is only eggs, ramen, bread, rice, oil and salt. Other than that you need to buy your own food but there is a nice kitchen. Everything else was very nice. The house is in a very nice area, right by a lotte mall, plenty of cafes, restaurants and hangout area the host, and there's a bus station and a subway right by the house. It takes 40-70 minutes to get to the center of Seoul by subway. I had a great experience 💕 would love to do it again!
