I really loved volunteering here, Olaf and the rest of the full time staff were lovely and the other volunteers made the stay very fun. The location is quite remote but provides a unique experience of an area I never would have got to on my travels otherwise and was absolutely amazing at christmas time!

This was my first Worldpackers trip and certainly a memorable one. Food, accommodation, and work schedules were all great, but the best part of the experience was definitely the people. Thank you to everyone at the Kartoffel Hotel for making this a great experience!

I had a very good time in the Kartoffel Hotel, I spent a month here and the time It was very fast. The house is warm and clean, the food is good and you always eat in the hotel restaurant. The work changes often but it is simple, sometimes it can be harder but still simple tasks and the six hours of work pass quickly, Olaf is a very helpful and kind person, ready to listen to any problems and solve them. I will definitely come back here, I recommend everyone to pass by here.

The place is surrounded by nature and is perfect if you need calm and tranquility. You can enjoy nature, but at the same time, it is perfectly connected with bus and trains. You can go to the nearest city in just five minutes by bus (you can find all kinds of services and shops) and you can reach all cities in the region during your days off. Good balance between work and leisure time. You have the chance to meet people from all over the world. Olaf, the host, is very kind and assists you before and throughout the whole experience. Special thanks also to Matias and Franzi.

Olaf was very friendly and welcoming when I arrived, the food was very good and the accommodation was very comfortable too! As for the staff team, I would like to thank Matias who was always available to help! I definitely recommend volunteering here

I had a really nice experience on the Kartoffeln Hotel, by doing different things that developed great skills on myself. All the people whom work there are very respectful and generous. The owner of the Kartoffeln Hotel, Olaf, teached us about some very interesting things about Germany's deep culture, that's sure it's a special thing that i will always remember. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean and the food is super good. For those who look to immerse in the hostel culture or have a good experience out of your country, that's the place.

I enjoyed very much my stay at the Kartoffeln farm. The staff are welcoming and polite. The accommodation is very cozy; an old, comfortable and pretty clean old little house . I met great people from all around the world with whom I got the chance to exchange different point of views on things. Olaf is a great person. He is open to discussion and will try always to make your stay the best as possible. The farm is located in the middle of the hostel countryside and so it is a great place to immerse in the hostel culture and practice the hostel language.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and it was everything I could have ever asked for. I got a great room, delicious food and a good working schedule. In the free time you can visit the nearest towns but also bigger cities like Hamburg or Berlin. Olaf is an amazing host and the people I worked with were always kind, patient and willing to teach me everything I had to do. I also got lots of new friends there, for whom I will always be greatful. I will miss everyone from the hotel and I hope I will return one day, because I already miss being there :) I would gladly recommend this place!
