I loved the place, very good vibes. Alicia and Swinn are very flexible and willing to help. The location is far from the main attractions but if you organize yourself with free time you can catch some buses. Or hitchhike to get there faster. But I had a great time because the group of people was very fun. The nearest supermarket is 45 minutes walking... or you can call a taxi. The tasks are so light or more energetic depending on how you take it! I recommend this place to disconnect and learn how to hitchhike haha. The facilities are very comfortable in my opinion.

Is a good place to be in contact with nature. The tasks are easy peasy lemon squeeze, and if you know how to work in a team are even easier. Kyleakin is a small town, you can hitchhike to go all over the hostel (highly recommend this). The staff is nice too and they help you if you fancy visiting another hostel.

I have spent 3 wonderful weeks at the hostel and it has been great my experience, both with the other volunteers and with the workers. In a short time you make a family and it is one of the things I like most about volunteering. The work is not heavy, it is very fun to share tasks with the rest of the team. The best are the free breakfasts, very abundant, the kitchen and living room as rooms to make a great social life in that small village of the hostel. Also the hikes you can do in those stunning landscapes. Thank you guys for making it all so easy and sharing many good stories together!!

My time at the hostel was amazing and a great first worldpackers experience. Alicia and Swinny were so welcoming as were the other volunteers. The work and other expectations were exactly as agreed upon. The Isle of the hostel is a magical place full of stunning landscapes and kind people. Kyleakin is a great place if you are looking for a calm and relaxing experience. It can be a bit difficult to get around without a car, but there are some buses, and the other volunteers and I were able to hitchhike to various places. I definitely recommend volunteering at the hostel!!

I had a wonderful time at the hostel! The hostel was run well and work tasks were as expected. Had plenty of time to explore the island outside of work hours. The social atmosphere among the volunteers was great, made many new friends from around the globe. The managers were kind enough to help organise accomodation for my onwards travel at the companies sister hostels which was greatly appreciated. If you're looking for a place to slow down and enjoy nature for a while then this is a great place to go!

I loved my time here! The other volunteers felt like family, and management was kind and welcoming. The hostel has a cozy vibe—we were always making hot chocolate and hanging out in the lounge. While Kyleakin is a small town and can feel a little isolated we found the bus system fairly reliable, although to save money the other volunteers and I found ourselves hitchhiking a lot. The hostel is pretty sociable, so if you hang out in the lounge or kitchen at night, you can usually find a ride to go sightseeing the next day.

The isle of the hostel is beautiful with such incredible landscapes and history! However it is quite hard to get around with infrequent buses, but can be done with hitchhiking. Managers were nice and made clear what work needed to be done and there was lots of time to do explore after work! Kyleakin is abit of a remote town but if you're a fan of reconnecting to nature and a relaxing chill time it's really nice. I made such great friends with the volunteers and had so much fun exploring the island with them, definitely recommend the hostel!
