Christian and Ana are amazing hosts that take care of everything and eve gave me advice for future travel plans! The work changes daily and is always around maintenance of the hostel or other amenities. The place itself is pretty remote even from salando the town so it's something to consider - it's 15-20 min walk to get to the town and for puerto Lopez you need a bus/taxi. Still I felt that there was more than enough time for exploration and activities in the area. In my opinion this place is more suitable for pairs or groups

From the very start I felt so welcomed and at home. First volunteer experience and some of the work was pretty heavy but very rewarding. I loved that it was so isolated from the city it really forces you to get in touch with nature.

I had an amazing experience at the hostel! Ana and Christian are very nice, and always does their best to explain everything and make you feel welcome. The property is beautiful, with an amazing view. Definitely recommend if you like the ocean and a more quiet place:)

It was an amazing experience staying at the hostel, because I was able to enjoy a fantastic landscape, beautiful beaches, a very comfortable space and the wonderful hospitality of the hosts Ana and Cristian. Hard work that is worth doing if you like the sea, the sunsets, the surf and the tranquility. It was a volunteer job full of learning and very pleasant and fun moments.

Ana and Christian are great people, nice and open minded. They own a big piece of land in a remote place near Salango (30 min downhill walk to town and beach, otherwise taxi) and they need help with building, maintenance and cleaning of the different the hostel they rent. Working day is from 8-13h. We spent the first 4 days refurbishing the terrace of one of the hostel: sandpapering and painting the wall and wood. The 5th day we cleaned the 5 the hostel (beds, bathroom, floor) and the shared kitchen. We slept in a bed in a small house, no picture of it in the app. It's nature so bugs around.
