Volunteering with Yoga and Ayurveda in North Germany

I appreciate the clean spacious room, free the Center meditation lessons, healthy three meals per day and rental bicycles. It's written as a "shared room", but you are actually sharing a house, and you have your enough space for you to hang your clothes and using the tables plus the kitchen together with other volunteers. The room is bigger than what you normally expect from the usual dormitories in a hostel. You can take a nice walk to the forests and also go to towns like Hitzacher and Dannenberg. I met many wonderful people here in Sagasfield, and I appreciate all the memories here. Danke!

It was a great experience, I learned and improved my level of English thanks to all the classmates who were there. the Center wouldn't be the same without them. The schedule is hard, sometimes you have to get up at 6 in the morning and work, it depends on the tasks you have, but I connected with myself and enjoyed the experience.

My experience at the Center gave me an interesting look into the inner workings of a the Center centre, having the opportunity to help the team with kitchen tasks, housekeeping, and groundskeeping. The facility and surrounding nature are beautiful and the Center team was so welcoming. The warmth, love, open-mindedness and sense of community created by the volunteers was immense and truly touching. I'm so grateful for my time here and for the precious connections I've made.

This was my first volunteer experience and I could not be more grateful for it. I have met beautiful, loving, open-minded, caring and funny (Andreas ;)) people, who felt like a family. Especially the team of volunteers felt like home. I did mainly housekeeping, breakfast and a little bit of gardening. If you enjoy remote areas with beautiful nature, where you can connect with yourself more, then it's the best place for you. I also attended yoga classes and German classes (the German teacher is really kind, I had a great time). I've learnt a lot during my stay, thank you for helping me grow :))

Arrive to the Center was find a place of calm and self learning. The workers are very nice and try to make you feel good, they give you different spaces for enjoy and relax. The work it's not heavy, less housekeeping that it's too much for only one person, i applied for gardering and finally i only made that two days (seems a little that the boys can'tclean). In despite of that, i felt realy well there and it's very good place, moreover if it's your first volunteering. I recommend this place if you are searching a place for desconnect the mind and meet beautifully villages to arround.

This was my first Worldpackers experience. I really enjoyed it even though I had to cut my trip short.. I only tried the housekeeping, it was okey, exhausting but okey. The people were amazing all the staff and voulenteeres were welcoming and made sure that you felt comfortable from when you first arrived. The food was also veery good. I would say it's safe to hitchhike from Hitzacker, but off course you have to watch out for the creeps Bring snacks, long wait between meals Sum up: exhausting shifts (in my case), beautiful nature, bikes, pond, sauna, beautiful people, good food, yoga.I recom

I enjoyed spending 6 weeks in the Center. Beautiful & peaceful place for a reset. Perfect for deepening my yoga practice (Ashtanga by myself, the yoga for guests is very slow and gentle as the guests are on the older/beginner side.) I got to teach yoga/meditation in english a few times. I love that we are so many volunteers at once, guests & staff are lovely. Really good german classes once a week. I got to do mainly housekeeping, some service & gardening. My only wish is : a better communication between managers/owner & volunteers. For all future WPs don't be afraid to communicate your needs!

Working in the Center was my first workaway experience and I'm very thankful that it was. From the moment I arrived I already felt at home and had the luck to meet wonderful people, volunteers and workers among them. It's a hard working job, but, at the end of the day, it pays off because you get to enjoy the amazing energy of the Center, create special connections with people and get to know a little bit about northern Germany culture. Not only that, but the food is amazing, you'll never be hungry. I'm very grateful to had this kind of opportunity, I'll never forget my time in the Center!

I felt welcomed from the first moment because they were very attentive to me, the staff are very receptive, friendly and Olaf gave me all the necessary support, I felt at home, the bedroom was very comfortable, and the food was perfect, the job is not difficult at all a little tiring at times, but the free time is great, and we can enjoy it a lot. It was a very productive time for me and I will have everyone in my heart. Gratitude for everything the Center❤️🙏

A wonderful place! I enjoyed every single bit of working as a volunteer. The overall involvement of my time in the Center was excellent and I would recommend the place to anyone who wants to live and experience Northern Germany properly. One of the most enjoyable things was not surprisingly the people- TEAM OF VOLUNTEERS. It seemed that no matter what the goal was for the day or how much the language barrier interferred, everyone was willing to help one another and put in work when it was needed. I'll never forget the adventue, and I'm very grateful to the staff who helped us during our stay!
