The place complies with what is described on the Wordpackers platform. Apart from a few rude residents who are an absolute minority forcing us into uncomfortable situations to command our respect, the rest of the people I met there were super nice, volunteers, staff and residents. Thank you all

The hostel's location near Hyde Park was great, and I enjoyed daily runs there. The team's room was decent. My tasks mainly involved serving and cleaning in the dining room, but the work organization was chaotic, with staffing levels fluctuating unpredictably. The training was minimal, with only brief instructions from another volunteer. Chef Gigi, initially fine, became rude and unclear in communication. In the kitchen, I was dismayed by the wasteful food disposal practices. Overall, as my first volunteer experience, it was okay, teaching me to handle disorganization and difficult people.

A localização é ótima, perto de tudo que você precisa. É um lugar calmo, com um bom ambiente entre voluntários, hóspedes e gerência. Todas as refeições oferecidas são deliciosas. Comecei ajudando na limpeza dos chuveiros, essa função foi bem tranquila e não teve nenhum problema. Depois passei para cozinha, o responsável do setor as vezes é grosseiro, reclama dos voluntários, tornando o clima ruim. O horário de fechamento da cozinha é praticamente o mesmo que finaliza o horário combinado, mas você vai ter que ficar mais, pois tem toda organização e limpeza para fazer após seu horário.

Thank you to everyone I met. The location of the accommodation is perfect. The accommodation is near Hyde Park, so you can take a walk anytime. The volunteers I worked with were friendly and had a good time. They serve breakfast and dinner and it's so delicious. Thank you.

My experience was great, even though more than a hostel, it is something for long term guests. However i had lot of fun with the volunteers, always happy and willing to hang out :) The staff is good, not so happy but respectuf. Unfortunately the nightworkers are very rude and often annoied. The location is great, well linked between the Subway station and the neightborhood is lovely and quite. The job was quite easy and the hours were never more than 18/20 per week. A big thanks to all the volunteers i met during my stay <3

I worked serving food in the hostel, it was an ok job with the schedules a bit confusing but I could take it. My relationship with the cook was not so good, he started to treat me with lack of respect for no reason. I tried to talk to him, questioning if there was something wrong and he didn't say anything. I don't know if he had some problem related to my nationality. I made friends there but I missed the common areas to hang out.

O local da residência é ótima com vários comércios, perto de ponto de ônibus e metrô e perto do Hyde Park. É um local onde pessoas moram por muito tempo. Senti falta de áreas de convivência, não tem nenhuma sala para conversarmos com outras pessoas. Tive problemas com o chefe de cozinha, pelo que percebi, todos que voluntariam servindo o jantar tem, é uma pessoa bem difícil de conviver, o que às vezes nos desmotivava. Alguns hospedes também eram um pouco inconvenientes com nós mulheres. Trabalhamos mais nos finais de semana. Tirando essas questões, acredito que foi uma experiência boa.

The hostel was my first volunteering experience and it was great! The place is more like a guest house, so there isn't a common area and you'll talk more to the other volunteers. That said, my tasks were easy and I didn't have any trouble with that. The receptionists, assist manager and manager were great with me whenever I had some doubt or needed something. The guest are fine in general. There are some that see you as their employee at first, but after some time they smooth 😅 others are extremely kind. I ended up actually meeting and having insightful conversations with a few of them.

I think that this place is the best option to stay in London. I enjoy the job here, easy and not tiring. The food provided by Eugenio and Gigi was good :) Happy to met good person here.

Good experience overall. I found a good team that made a difference. A bit tiring doing the same job for a month but serving dinner to the residents I had no complaints (good job seeing everyone). The room was comfortable, meals included which is a real plus in London! I would like to thank all the hostel team for your welcome and this experience!
