It is located in a really nice area, peaceful and calm, surrounded with nature. The host family is very kind, it was a pleasure to meet them. Madrid is quite close, which is a pro as well. However, personally, for me it did not reach my standards when it comes to hygene and cleanliness. Overall it was a nice experience, met some nice people:)

O local é bom, tem boas pessoas e o convívio é agradável em todas as tarefas e refeições diárias, o trabalho não é puxado, é ainda tem alguns lazeres que encontra quem procura. Por perto há montanhas e grutas para percorrer que sem dúvida é algo que é sem palavras.

The other volunteers and Marta are great! The place is a bit isolated from most things but a great place to enjoy the quieter countryside life.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ❌ Unfortunately, the app only allows 600 characters. I joined this volunteer program seeking peace, but it was exhausting from the start. The room was mixed though I was told it wouldn't be; Martha fixed it on the second night. Martha is kind, but the place doesn't deliver what it promises: the 6-hour work schedule is not respected, very poor hygiene with trash, many flies, and the food were leftovers from events, some even a week old. El alojamiento es mixto, nadie te dijo q no, siempre fue así y nadie se quejo, cuando lo requeriste, nos adaptamos, igual que a tu alimentacíon, a que solo quisieras cocinar para ti, te di lo que pediste para preparar tu dieta especial. Como te dije, mucha intolerancia y poca comunicación de tu parte. Como os dije a los 3. En privado me das las gracias,me deseas lo mejor pero con tu reseña cierras a otros la oportunidad de disfrutar de lo que podemos ofrecer con amor. Disfruta de tu viaje.

Tive uma boa experiência e os outros voluntários tornaram tudo mais especial! Marta foi atenciosa, especialmente com a minha intolerância ao glúten. O lugar é simples e rústico, cercado pela natureza, próximo das montanhas onde é possível fazer trilhas. É importante saber que por ser ambiente mais natural pode ter moscas, vespas, ratos então vá com a mente aberta. As atividades envolviam limpeza e organização e as vezes tarefas mais braçais, com folgas aos finais de semana. Sou grata pela oportunidade e recomendo a quem busca uma vivencia simples e próxima de Madrid.

I leave 5 stars only because I can't leave more. The experience was up and above my expectations. The farm is beautiful and cozy, Marta was always extremely welcoming and open to suggestions. The work was manageable and wasn't that hard. I would definitely volunteer again at Rincón the farm.

I had overall a good experience at El Valle Secreto even though there were not much volunteers at the time I was there, we still managed to have fun and make day trips to Madrid as well as visit the beautiful village of Miraflores. The place we slept in could be a little cleaner but everyone was very nice and caring ! I also had the opportunity to learn more about catering and learn from Martha as well, a very intelligent and ambitious person, I enjoyed our conversations and dinners together ! :)

I'm so glad about my experience in the host. It was very interesting to see what tasks are behind a catering and to cook so much together. Marta and her family are so lovely and try to make you a great stay. We ate and talked together every day and I improved my Spanish a little. I met so many nice people, we were a cool group, had a lot of fun and I really enjoyed my time. The surroundings are pretty, Miraflores is such a cute village and we did an amazing day trip to Madrid. I will never forget this experience, thanks for everything! :)
