Ecological farm minutes by metro from Barcelona city center.
You will learn about ecological farming, mushroom farming and aquaponic strawberry growing from our expert Mihai.
At the moment it is all non profit, we are doing this to learn, be self sustainable and grow healthy foods that we share with friends.

Programa detallado

We are a group of friends that have opened a business on a farm (tourist activities) and decided that, since we have a farm now anyway, we might as well give farming a go. Just for us, to learn and to enjoy.
Step by step, we are renovating the house and growing more and more foods in the gardens.
Montcada is a small village close to Barcelona. During your time off you can have bbq's on the activities field, spend time in the attached bar (cost price drinks) and swim in the enormous inflatable pools.
Barcelona city center is only 10 minutes by metro and full of fun. You get discounts at two of the bar/restaurants we run in the city and can find all the social life you'd like. The beach is beautiful (but busy) and we have surfboards in case you want to take a paddle.
If you're interested in paid work, we have all sorts of positions open in summer, from kayak guide to bartender.

Actividades & Turnos

We have traveled the world ourselves for decades and we would like us to be flexible if we were backpacking around. So we ask for only 20 hours of work a week and let you make your own schedule as much as possible. If you want to leave for some weeks to travel around and come back again, if you want to join one or our activity tours for free, it's all fine. You're here to explore and you should do so!
There is a dog, some chickens and some mini pigs, so you'll be looking after those as well, together with us.

Reglas

The only people living at the farm are volunteers. So we do demand you keep the house and kitchen clean and no noise after 10 pm to not disturb the neighbors (no loud music etc.)
You have to be responsible enough to look after a farm house basically.
The farm is basic and a bit old fashioned, so don't expect a great amount of luxury. It does have a nice fireplace in the kitchen though :)
