Alpen retreat is a home away from home. If you're looking to reconnect with yourself and nature this place is for you. The hours are always respected and the work is very straightforward and quite easy! It's a very special place surrounded by amazing nature. There's plenty of hikes, waterfalls, lakes around the area. The volunteers are like a heart family. I highly recommend this place!!! Elly and Wolfgang are kind and caring hosts. I'll be back. Thank you ❤️

I was lucky enough to stay at the Center for 1 month, and I loved it so much I didn't want to leave! This is definitely an experience to reconnect with yourself and nature, the location is surrounded by the most beautiful alps and lakes. The work exchange is more than fair, tasks are simple and well explained. You get plenty of time around work to explore the area and nearby towns, there is a lot to see! The food is delicious, I can guarantee you will eating all the best vegetarian food possible! I felt welcomed with open arms and am thankful to have met all the amazing people there 💚

The Center is a home away from home and overall amazing experience. I spent one month here, but I wish I could have stayed longer. The host Elly and Wolfgang are kind and care about the volunteers. The work is not difficult and the work hours are fair and respected. Perfect place to reconnect with nature.

My experience at Alpen Retreat simply couldn't have been more perfect. It really is a place I can call home today. Elly and Wolfgang are excellent hosts and teachers, always open to communication and looking out for everyone to be comfortable and happy, the work is very simple and you have a lot of free time to explore the surroundings, Although it is far from the city, the place is a paradise . The retreat provides you with all the comforts you need in very beautiful spaces and the food is simply delicious. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this wonderful place.

The two months I spent in Alpen Retreat were absolutely amazing. You live in a house surrounded by mountains with a breathtaking view every morning. The work is staright forward and pretty simple, and you get a lot of free time to explore around. It's a place to reconnect with yourself and nature, and to meet beautiful souls from all over the world. On our free time we went walking in the mountains, to the lake, skiing and to cities close by. I even got the chance to participate in some yoga and meditation courses, which opened my heart incredibly. I truly recommend this place to everyone!

The Center is big family always expanding. I had my first volunteering experience here and it was really nice. I had a warm bed and healthy food available every day. I learned a lot about myself and others, I learned about how to manage such a big house. I felt respected. The only advice that I would give is to please remember we are also travelers, the reason I joined Worldpackers was to get to know the nearby areas, there was flexibility. I definitely recommend this place. I was even able to attend to some retreats ❤️ I'm grateful!!! Thank you Elly and Wolfgang ✨🇦🇹❤️☀️

The Center was my first volunteering experience and whoa it was PERFECT!! I felt like home, like a part of the family. If I ever had a problem, in work or even in my own personal life, I was heard and helped. I would recommend this place for everyone, cause this place/people helped me so much and made my time here so magical and memorable. I'm beyond happy and thankful to be part of this beautiful place ❤️

I had a really great time at Alpen Retreat. In the beginning I felt that my expectations weren't met based on what I had read on Worldpackers, but I raised my concerns and they were heard and responded to. The team were really great. The location is stunning. I experienced some of the most beautiful views I've ever seen and fell in love with the mountains. The leaders of the volunteers were amazing, I felt respected, they were flexible and compassionate, this made the work enjoyable and fulfilling.
