The managers and all the staff are amazing. It was a beautiful experience. The working hours and days off are respected. I really recommend this place and I would come back. It is never too much time in Edinburgh :) <3

My experience volunteering at the hostel was great! The hours are fair and respected, the work is straight forward and easy, and the team is wonderful! The location of this hostel is great too, situated right on The Meadows (a gorgeous park) and only a 15-20 minute walk into town. Overall I would highly recommend this hostel and volunteer experience, it truly did become a home away from home to me during my stay here and I'm so grateful to Livi, Hugh, Jed and the fellow volunteer team for making me feel so welcome 🤗

I had the best time at here, thank you Livi, Hughie, Jed and the rest of the team for making me feel like a part of the family! I didn't want to leave! The work is straight forward, easy and the room was comfortable. Highly recommended and will hopefully be back ❤️

This was my second time volunteering at the hostel, and it couldn't have been better. Livi, Hugh, and Ged are wonderful, the atmosphere is super cozy, and everyone who works there is really friendly. The tasks are easy, the hours are respected, and the schedule is very flexible. The location is great, just a few minutes from the Old Town and close to The Meadows Park. I can't wait to come back again. I highly recommend this experience!

I had such a great time at the hostel, the location is great, the hostel is very cozy. The staff are super nice and welcoming. The tasks are easy and give you lots of free time to enjoy Edinburgh. I wish I could have stayed longer, highly recommend 🫶🏻

Volunteering at the hostel was such a special experience for me. The hostel is made up of two traditional houses, which really gives you the feeling of living in the city not just visiting. The team was always super attentive, my coworkers were amazing, and the schedule was really smooth and flexible, which made everything flow nicely. The tasks are those classic hostel ones: making beds, cleaning, helping out with daily stuff, nothing heavy, all very chill. The location is also fantastic, perfect for exploring Edinburgh. I'm just really grateful for these lovely days. 💛

Since I arrived to the hostel I felt really welcomed by the staff and volunteers! The tasks and the scheduled was always respected and there was a lot of flexibility which I valued from my experience. A big plus I found during my staying were the facilities we had access, two kitchens, a large living room and a lovely garden. Also the location was unbeatable, just around the corner from the meadows, which is a more relax area from the city center but still close enough by walking. Overall, I did enjoy my stay at the hostel and would love to go back at some point in the future!

I spent two 2 volunteering at the hostel & overall had a good experience. The location is amazing – super central, so you can explore all of Edinburgh. The hostel itself has a lot of charm, with two large kitchens, a cozy living room, & a garden where there's always space to relax. The work mainly involves standard housekeeping (making beds, cleaning bathrooms, laundry) & is generally quite relaxed. Note: lunch is not provided daily – during my stay I had lunch about 5 times. I enjoyed spending time with the other volunteers, & the staff team was very welcoming.
