Help in a Hostel in Taormina

This is my third time at the hostel, I think it's safe to say i love coming back. The team is great and the tasks are super doable. The shifts are 4h and there are morning shifts and evening shifts. The accommodation is also seperate to the hostel so you can have your own space

I loved my experience at the hostel. The work is reasonable, the town is amazing, the provided accommodation is perfect and the team is awesome. I must mention though for the record that I was asked to leave after the host assumed me to be using my laptop during work and wearing headphones, which I simply was not. This incident came with no warning and proved very expensive, among other complications. However, from what I understand, this was the first time something like this has happened there. So taking that into account, I recommend this experience and hope others will enjoy it :)

This was one of the best world packer experiences I have had yet. The mix of staff and volunteers created a wholesome community that felt like a family. The work was exactly what was communicated and was flexible when needed. I stayed in a studio apartment with two other volunteers which was nice to get a break and have my own space away from guests. If you are lucky enough to join the hostel crew I am sure you will have the best time <3 Grazie Mille

Had the best time volunteering at the hostel. It's in a great location, the volunteers' space is super comfy, and the tasks are just what you'd expect at a hostel. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and Connie was especially kind and supportive. Couldn't have asked for a better first experience :)

The volunteer experience was amazing!! All the staff and the owners were super friendly and made me feel very comfortable, supported, and at home. The work is very relaxed and easy to do. Taormina is an incredible place. The whole experience was wonderful — I would do it again without hesitation and I 100% recommend it.

My experience in the hostel was great! The staff is really nice and friendly, the hours were clear and respected, there was flexibility to accommodate our schedule needs, really good overall! The only point of improvement is that there is no WiFi on the studio where the volunteers stay, only a mobile phone routing internet, which is often unstable and too slow. Since I had to work online, this was a negative point for me as I often had to go to the hostel outside my shift hours to use the WiFi there or spend some money to work from a cafe. But other than that, everything was perfect!

Fiquei por um mês e o tempo passou rápido demais me senti literalmente em casa muito bem recebido desenvolvi habilidades e fiz amigos que vou levar pra vida e sim indico essa experiência que e completamente diferente e inspiradora estamos falando de histórias, sonhos, aprendizagem. Essa big Family Homstel Taormina já está no meu coração e retornarei com toda a certeza no verão. Muito Obrigado.

The hostel is very nice and clean, the hours are respected and sometimes even less than what they say when there's not a lot of work do to. Taormina, although very expensive, is one of the most beautiful towns I've seen. My experience was not perfect because I got bitten by bed bugs a lot (we immediately cleaned and bug sprayed everything, they were not neglectful about it) and because I had a very uncomfortable situation with the owner of the place, so I decided to shorten my stay. Still, for most people I'd say it's a good place to volunteer at.

Work time is fair and flexible. The morning tasks are basically cleaning everything, and all tasks were shown to me on my first few days. The staff appartment I stayed at is away from the hostel, which is a good point to me. I was nicely welcomed by everyone and everything went well for me with the owners and staff, but there were a few comments and behaviours that felt unfair towards another volunteer, which made me feel uncomfortable. I also had to cut my trip short for personal reasons and they made it really easy for me to do so, and I'm very grateful for that.

Amazing experience with the opportunity to live in a wonderful place. The staff members are very welcoming and friendly, especially Pervina, Francesco, Grazia and Connie. Also the volunteers were so lovely and friendly. I had very beautiful moments there. Definitely recommended!
