Volunteering in Faro was my first worlpackers experience. And I must say I had some amazing weeks here. You always have shifts around 10am-14am depending on how many people there are to work and some days can get heavier. But you always know what to do and things about work were communicated immediately. You are having lunch at another hostel which was really good due to other volunteers from other hostels that cooked for us :)) By not only getting to know your roommates but also volunteers from other hostels you meet many new people which is amazing! Looking back I had a great time volunteering at the guest house. The work, cleaning and housekeeping, is easy, good manageable and never overwhelming . Also the working hours are as described, sometimes even less, which gives you enough time to explore Faro, Algarve and the all the other beautiful cities nearby. I really enjoyed my time here. Thanks for everything!

My stay at the guest house was perfect for my first volunteering experience! Sonja and Pedro always made me feel super safe, even when they weren't in the city I always felt like i could reach out to them for any problem. They also brought me to the airport on my last day because the buses weren't available! The work was really easy, never overwhelming and actually you get two days off per week. I had plenty of free time to explore the cities nearby and to have fun with my fellows volunteers! Thank u so much for the experience, I hope I get to come back soon <3

Viver na guest house por dois meses foi ótimo, conheci pessoas maravilhosas e a equipe era realmente boa. Os horários são bem respeitados e a líder da limpeza é um amor de pessoa. Os pontos negativos foi o quarto que não tem janelas e o fato de não ter bicicletas. Fora isso foi tudo excepcional, obrigada Pedro e Sonja!

Fui muito bem recebida ! A Guest house fica próx ao Castelo e ao comércio! As tarefas são tranquilas e dentro do combinado! Me senti em casa! Pedro e Sonja, muito obrigada ❤️

I loved working with Sonja and Pedro! They are so kind and were super accessible to the volunteers. The work is super easy and I had a ton of free time to explore the area. I met a lot of amazing people and would definitely come back! Thanks for everything :)

This experience was everything I could have asked for, for a first time worldpackers trip. Pedro and Sonja were so welcoming and I felt safe. I met people from over ten nationalities and made great friends, who I will stay in contact with for a long time! My friend who I initially came with fell very unwell, Pedro and Sonja were not in the country but still managed to help us, providing her a private room, checking in at the hospital and not asking her to work and understanding when she had to leave. At the guest house you will find friends, great experiences and kindness.

I spent 3 weeks living and working in The Portugese the guest house and two other guesthouses my hosts have in Faro. I felt very welcomed by everyone, even though the owners weren't there by the time of my arrival we were always in contact. The work is not really hard, after ew days it was a routine, the working hours are mostly what's planned (sometimes also less) The location is perfect, in a calm area but close to some nightlife….The room is good, pretty big and being worked on, Sonja always has an open ear about concerns and wishes :) Thank you so much Sonja&Pedro&everyone i met🧡🧡🌞

A experiencia descrita aqui no Worldpakers e o que foi apresentado nao coincidem. Comunicacao poderia ser melhorada e mais efetiva. No geral, Pedro e Sonja sao otimas pessoas, porem aconselho a atualizarem a vaga ou abrirem uma nova pro que estao realmente oferecendo.

Não é voluntariado. É serviço de limpeza, lavanderia e responsabilidade com o espaço. Além do mais vc aplica pra um hostel e ele quer que limpe outros tb. Isto por uma cama! No quarto compartilhado que fiquei não havia janelas. Corona agradece. Na plataforma está 5 dias de voluntariado para 2 de folga entretanto o anfitrião depois disse que era 7 para 1. Quando me neguei a limpar a outra propriedade acabou a cortesia e fui mandada embora.
