Amazing experience at the hostel, from free brekkie, dinner, and raki shots to great people and even better vibes. An amazing place to lock in for a month and just have fun meeting new people and exploring the north of Albania! The work that they are looking for, as well as the work hours, are very reasonable. You'll have plenty of spare time to wander around and explore with many new friends to explore with! 10 outta 10 would recommend to everyone interested

Angjelo and Silver are two of the kindest, most positive and friendly hosts you could ask for. They are committed to the success and growth of the hostel and work so hard! I have really enjoyed my time here and will look back on it fondly! Lots of guests to mix with and a great team of volunteers. The work is straightforward and you have plenty of time to explore and do your own thing! I would recommend this hostel for 3 weeks! :) Make sure you're sociable and get stuck in!

Volunteering at the hostel was an incredible experience! The staff are so wonderful, so welcoming and always down for a chat or to answer any questions about Shkoder. Management are super flexible and chill. Other volunteers and the travellers you meet here are so wonderful. The actual hostel itself is great and a fun place to work, and shkoder has a lot of beauty and wonderful people. I would recommend volunteering here if you have a big social battery, are down for a good time, and can handle many free rakia shots :)

Being at the Wanderer's was truly an awesome experience that I'll always remember! All of the workers are very welcoming and help in creating a fun environment for the volunteers. As a volunteer you have most of the day to hang around the hostel or explore the area, before the evening shift starts. Shkoder is a lovely city surrounded by beautiful nature, which was a highlight to explore. I'll miss Shkoder and the people at the Wanderer's who made this a great experience!

What a great experience volunteering at the hostel has been! The managers, staff, and volunteers were very welcoming and fun to hang out with. It was also a great opportunity to meet International travelers as well. The location is great too, you have a lake, beach, and the Albanian Alps very close to where you stay. Highly recommend!

My experience at the hostel was amazing! All of the staff were awesome and incredibly friendly and welcoming. The evening was also always a good environment to talk to and meet all of the guests coming through. The hours and days off were also always respected. Overall, I would totally recommend volunteering here!

I had a great time at the hostel! All the staff and managers were great and so welcoming, and so were all the volunteers there! There were also so many great guests that came through the hostel, and it really helped make the whole experience one to remember We had so many amazing and fun nights fueled by the free rakia, and also got to have a great time exploring Shkoder and the surrounding areas

My time at the hostel was so special!! The staff and volunteers are amazing, I'm so glad to have met them. Hours are respected, and the work is very simple. Be prepared to drink your body weight's worth in rakia. Shkoder is the perfect place to volunteer in - you'll have plenty of time to explore the town and surrounds.

Volunteering at the hostel had potential, but some poor leadership made it frustrating. The tasks were simple and the vibe was social, but the volunteer leader lacked maturity and basic respect for the shared space—bringing discomfort and tension. There was no hygiene, no boundaries, and little guidance. When I injured myself, I wasn't met with care, only pressure to find a replacement or work anyway. Some staff were also rude, especially in the kitchen, and management seemed indifferent throughout. I met really nice people there but unfortunately left before I wanted because of some behavior

Thanks for your time with us. We chose not to leave a bad review but want to give context. Clear guidance was provided, yet tasks were often incomplete and shifts shorter than agreed. The social aspect is key to the role, and we always treated you with kindness. We covered tasks when needed and never asked more than agreed. Despite the challenges, we thank you for your efforts and wish you all the best.

What an awesome experience. Met so many cool people, this hostel brings in the proper outdoorsy backpackers so everyone is extremely chill and easy to get along with. The managers are super respectful of hours, you get lots of free time to explore shkoder and the surroundings. Cheers to all the raki shots, will definitely have to be back!
