The hostel is a cosy house in the countryside where you can breathe a lot of fresh air and admire the landscapes around it. If you like to cycle, you can explore a lot the region without having to pay for public transportation and you may meet a lot of fellow cyclists as guests in the hostel. Although there is no internet there, you can easily spend the time reading, playing board games, doing puzzles or enjoying the garden^^ To add up, the host is amazing! She values spending time with the volunteers to exchange knowledge, experiences, languages, german recipes and even to go in day trips :)

I loved my the hostel experience! Silke is such a nice, welcoming and fun person to be around, she makes us feel at home, she is very flexible and always willing to help and talk! The hostel is great to relax and feel at home, and if you are not scared of biking around (like I was haha) it is even better, there are many charming cities that are not far by bike.. I had the best time and really recommend if you are looking for a chill and cozy place that is perfect for connecting and talking with people while experiencing northern Germany

It was AMAZING being a volunteer at Silke's hostel during 6 awesome weeks. She's kind, caring and an amazing leader towards the activities we need to execute around the place. The tasks were clear and well explained, we had plenty of time to enjoy the place, the region and see the beautiful landscapes around the baltic sea. It was my first experience and I strongly recommend to choose this place to have an unique experience. It was a pleasure to meet such a nice person as Silke! Hope to come back to say hi one day.
