I had a fantastic time at the hostel! I extended my stay twice and was very sad to leave. It's a very inclusive, positive environment and the shift patterns are very flexible so you can make the most of your time in Oxford. There are high expectations for your quality of work, but that all contributes to the overall high standards of the hostel, and it is easily the best-run hostel I've worked at. I wish I could have stayed longer but all good things must come to an end, and I can't recommend it enough!

The hostel has been the most fun experience of my life. I had met lifelong friends and was honestly so hard to leave them. Harry is a formidable leader and an even better boss. He balances the role of being a friend and a good manager perfectly and is always a good time to be around. Will most definitely be back in Oxford for the sole reason of visiting the hostel. I could not recommend this place more to anyone interested in volunteering. The hours are great The people are better, and if you are like me, a terrible cook, Harry will teach you.

Couldn't recommend CB Oxford enough! The other volunteers have been some of the coolest people i've ever met and have made this place feel like home and incredibly difficult to leave. 24 hours of work a week is respected and days off and times are generally flexible for small trips or other obligations. None of the work is too demanding, just general hostel tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and checking people in. The manager, Harry, is great and makes sure everyone is doing okay and having a good time. Oxford is beautiful and I highly recommend this experience!!

Centralbackpackers has been one of my best experiences. Incredible team that makes you feel at home and very flexible hours. I recommend it

I truly had the best time here within the hostel since it's a three month volunteer you really connect to the other volunteers, they become like family made some of my favourite memories here. The manager Harry is truly a very caring person if you sick or wanting to do some travelling he's very accommodating. I can proudly say him and the volunteers I was with are going to be some of my life time friends.

There's no words to describe the amazing experience I had at the hostel. They don't give you just a place to stay and work, but also the opportunity of getting to know and make connections to people from all over the world, exchange cultures, learnings and art. For me there's nothing as valuable as that All the team have a special space in my heart, I've made so much valuable friends that became family. Amazing fun memories with them! I've learned so much and improved so many skills, I'm very very grateful and would recommend it to anyone! Loved to be part of the CBO team 💛💙

My what felt like a few short four months at the hostel was nothing short of amazing. I can't thank Izzy and Romane enough for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the team and creating an amazing environment where I made lifelong friends and memories. As it was my first volunteering experience I can no idea what to expect, but the team is so welcoming and helpful. The work required is more than manageable and with at least three days off per week I was able to travel around other parts of the UK as well as Europe. But mainly it became my home away from home, love you all 💙💛

My experience at the hostel has been without a doubt amazing and this summer has been the best I've ever had. the hostel team has been the cornerstone of this experience, helping me from the first moment and making me feel at home. Without a doubt I would like to highlight the work of Izzy and Romane, who were always attentive and answered all our questions. I have laughed and cried, met amazing people from all over the world and discovered England in my spare time. I can say only thank you to CB for this experience. I hold all of you in my heart.
