I applied to work at the hostel for 3 weeks and had to ask to extend for almost 2 months in the end! An amazing opportunity to get to know not only Tirana, but most of the hostel in a central location only 15 minutes away from the bus stop that connects with the entire country. The manager Claas is very attentive, helpful and the working hours are fair as agreed. I met incredible people in this place and I already plan to come back in the future.

Claas was a very good host, the task was easy to make, he let us in autonomy. Sometimes he came to make dinner and eat with volunteer. It was a really good experience, we met a lot of different people and this allowed us to practice english with others.

My experience was good, as always it is essential to get along with the other volunteers, otherwise the experience could be different, since the owner is not very often, he is a man with good intentions, perhaps he should improve his communication a little for what he wants, regarding food, he delivers, do not expect a variety of options of course.

Thanks for your review. We always try to adjust. Almost every volunteer has a different diet, preferences or even allergies. We do our best to keep everyone happy. We encourage our volunteers to tell us what they like. So in general it works like that, that we buy certain regular things (as you know we have a cupboard and a fridge only for volunteers) to stack up the basics. if U talk about verity, that also depends on what volunteers request. But thank you for the comment, we'll improve.👊

I was volunteering at the other the hostel in Tirana, the team was welcoming and it is especially a good opportunity to practice spanish, since the managers are from Argentina🫶🏼 Unfortunately, I had to leave early and the hosts were really understanding and flexible. Overall the tasks are easy, but I was not the biggest fan of the scheduling system/hours🙃

Overall a really good experience, working with the team and the manager Elias was always fun, he really toke care of us. The working hours and task are totally fine, it's amazing to only work 4 days and having 3 days off to travel arround the country. I also felt super cozy in the common areas of the hostel but the volunteer room is way to small, in the hot summer months you aren't able to sleep in there (no AC). On the breakfast there is also some improvement possible, on somedays we didnt even had breakfast.

The shifts are 7hrs each day that start as early as 7am and end as late as 2pm. Elias, the manager, is one of the kindest, most hospitable people I've ever met. The volunteer room is the hottest room in the house with no air con, but we are allowed to sleep in guest rooms if we wish (and if there is a free bed). The vibe: very chill, social enough, but not the most exciting. Tirana itself is a dull city, so there's not much to entertain yourself. This does let you immerse yourself in the Brylli neighbourhood, though, and get a real feel of Tirana. Thanks so much to Elias! Best of luck! X

My experience in the hostel was good, I was able to share with other volunteers which helped me a lot to practice my English, the schedules are respected, as well as the rest time. In my free time I was able to visit other nearby cities and enjoy the country much more.
