My six weeks at the hostel were honestly unforgettable. From day one, it felt like I already knew everyone, the vibe was so natural and easy. It has the perfect mix between work, fun, and those late night talks in the common area that make you feel at home even miles away. Budapest completely stole my heart, and a big part of that was because of the people I met here. I'm so grateful for every laugh, family dinner, and dance we had. I'll definitely be back💃 SALUD 🥂

The experience was lovely. Arwin and Alex are awesome owners who make everyone feel so welcome! The hostel and the activities were great, and I had more than enough time to explore and enjoy the city of Budapest. I definitely would recommend this hostel for future volunteers. I had a great summer and met so many awesome people here!

Great time schedule and working hours, good location for moving around on any of the public transport options, enough common room areas to have your own personal space and good activities happening every week.

It was such an enjoyable experience working at the hostel. Alex, Arwin and Elsa are great bosses that foster a fun, social and respectful environment. Theres always events that get you mingling with other travellers and the hostel itself is a cosy setting filled with natural light and well-located in the city.

My experience in the hostel was amazing and I mean everything. Since I came, everyone included me till we (all the team) became so familiar in many ways. To be honest, this has been my favorite volunteering by far. I loved so much more Budapest cause all of them. Thanks Alex for giving me the chance to be part of this wonderful team. Thanks Elsa for being the best manager ever. Thanks to all the team, you're such an amazing people. I will come back for sure!

I've participated in countless volunteer projects and I can confidently say, that the hostel was one of the best, if not the best. The work is easy and more than fair considering that you get to live in such a lovely and cosy place, in the center of the city, with these awesome people! I've felt at home, appreciated, cared for and had so much fun. Nothing captures the vibe of the place batter than the fact, that former volunteers keep coming back and many end up staying longer than they originally planned. I'm really looking forward to seeing you all again too! 110% recommend it!

My experience at SpicyHostel was amazing! The work was very easy and you can choose your shifts with a lot of flexibility. Nightshifts are only a thing during high seasons like summer, which was a big relief :D The sleep situation may not be ideal if you're a light sleeper like me but the hostel itself is very cosy and has a great atmosphere. You meet many travelers there every day. The owners are great people, very chill and friendly. Overall, this was definitely one of my best volunteering experiences and I can highly recommend it!

My experience in the hostel couldn't be better! I arrived in off season so the hostel was quiet but I spent Christmas and New Year there and it felt like spending them in family ❤️ The work is exactly what they describe and the shifts are very much respected. They're very flexible if you need to do something or whatever.. I definitely recommend this experience! I hope to go back sometime! Thanks so much the hostel team for everything!

My volunteer stay ended early due to a mismatch in expectations. To help future volunteers: • Ask for a detailed list of responsibilities, including any guest-oriented social or after-hours activities. • Be aware that the onsite manager lives in the volunteer room; she is very kind and supportive, but this setup may affect personal downtime. • Consider meeting or speaking with both owners to ensure alignment on communication style and expectations. For some volunteers this could be a great fit—just do thorough due diligence to ensure it aligns with your comfort level and work preferences.

Wonderful experience with all the staff and guests, small place, easy to keep in touch with everyone and work was easy with a lot of trust from the hostel owners. The city is amazing so I really recommend this experience
