This was an overall great experience! Carlos was very responsive & responded in a timely manner! He was able to pick my up from the airport & immediately took me to get groceries! The other volunteers were very helpful and explained everything to me! Working only 2 days a week was amazing and left a lot of time to explore and do whatever you wanted! Sharing a kitchen with the guests was the only thing I can say to be prepared for because the kitchen isn't super big, but it was worth it as Puerto Rican food can be expensive so that saved on costs!

My experience the hostel was my first Worldpacker and it was great! It was such a nice way to get to know a culture and to enjoy Puerto Rico. I worked twice a week which leaves a lot of free time to do whatever you want. The job is pretty easy and the team which consists of volunteers only, is absolutely amazing. I made a lot of new friends from all over the world. The host ,Carlos, is nice and explains everything well. When we needed something we could always ask him.He also takes the volunteers to some very cool trips you should definitely join. All in all, a very cool experience!

I had the best time! :) The other volunteers were amazing & I met lots of guests from around the world while volunteering here. The tasks are completely manageable & you only have to work 2 shifts per week. I was only able to stay one week, but made such good friends & memories in that short time!Carlos is a great host! He took us volunteers to El Yunque which was one of the highlights of my trip. I hope to come back one day and spend more time here! PR is beautiful💕

What an amazing experience the hostel!! 🩷 I love PR - there are always things to do, places to discover, nightclubs to go a jangueaaar. Carlos is just incredible and he's always there for the volunteers, whenever he can he takes us to a new place in the island. He is super fun and explains the job in detail and he's available anytime if you have work questions. The job is super easy and you just work twice a week, as long as you take it seriously you'll love it. You have a looot of free time to enjoy PR and to drink piñas coladas 💛☀️🥥🍍 Experiencia cabrooona! I'll come back <3

This was my first trip with world packers and overall had a good time! The work was reasonable and pretty easy to complete. Carlos did take all of us to a few different beaches around the island which was beautiful to see. I had a great time meeting international travelers along with others from the states.

My experience the hostel was amazing! The host, Carlos, creates a welcoming environment for all volunteers. I had time to explore PR on my days off! The work load is manageable. I spent 2 weeks here and it was a memorable experience! I definitely recommend volunteering at this hostel.

I had an excellent work travel experience the hostel. Carlos, the host, went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable, stress-free, and fun. The hostel's location was ideal, offering convenience and accessibility. The work was straightforward and pretty easy and Carlos's hospitality truly made it a standout experience for my first time in Puerto Rico. Highly recommend the hostel for first time travelers wanting to experience hostel life. Definitely will be back!

Like a LOT of my friends and reviews said here, the first part of the trip was awesome. We went out together, and Carlos seemed interested in showing us Puerto Rico and generously borrowed us his car. Later though, and while drinking, his behavior became less and less professional. Among other things, he spoke to a volunteer in a way that made her uncomfortable and then stopped showing up to the hostel for the rest of my time there. It was awkward and uncomfortable. Despite me leaving on good terms and working hard, he claimed that I was a no-show and fully stopped responding to my messages.

Esta voluntaria renunció a sus tareas antes de la fecha prevista. También canceló su voluntariado en mi otro hostel. No respeto las reglas del hostel.
NO realizó bien sus tareas en el hostel como hacer camas y limpieza general, además NO hablaba español como indica en su perfil.
Estubo 26 días en mi albergue de los cuales solo realizo 2 turnos. Los demás días los tomó libres sin ninguna contribución al albergue.
NO RECOMIENDO a esta voluntaria a ningun otro host/anfitrion.

This was a good first experience! The work load was super manageable and it was nice to have other girls my age to live and explore the city with. A lot of us were talking and agreed that 2 weeks is the perfect amount of time in the hostel, if you are still deciding how long to stay.
