Anna and Victoria have been the most wonderful hosts we have had on our trip around Spain. My time in the guest house will be an unforgettable experience and I highly recommend any traveller whether volunteering or just coming to Cordoba to stay at the guest house. The Host are very kind, good humour and will go above and beyond to assist you and make your stay as comfortable as possible. The Volunteers are treated exceptionally well and the work hours are very flexible allowing you to travel and enjoy all that Cordoba has to offer. Anna and Victoria thank you so much!!!! As this was my first volunteering experience I was a little apprehensive before beginning but a few days later I felt like never leaving the place again. For this I have to thank Ana & Victoria who are some of the most spectacular people I've ever worked with. They are fair, honest and loving women, and much more that couldn't be expressed justly in a few words. Thanks to them I spent one of the most beautiful months of my life. As for the workload, it is very meager and you will have plenty of time to explore Cordoba with its very rich history and make lasting friendships.

It was my first experience with World Packers and I can say that it was one of the best of my life. I met many new people and accumulated incredible moments. Alkatree is a family. The two hostesses are the best people in the place. One day I hope to come back to this place.

I had an amazing experience here. Ana and Victoria were the best hosts. The work load was easy, and I always had the rest of the day to do whatever I wanted after my shift. The area was absolutely beautiful, and the hostel itself was very nice. I highly recommend volunteering here!

The guest house was a lovely, safe, and quiet place to stay for a month. The owners, staff, and other volunteers were sweet and welcoming. The work was extremely light—by far the lightest of any volunteer I've done. There were a few communication problems about what our tasks were, but we were able to clear up the confusion and move past it. Córdoba is a lovely historic city, but it's best for volunteers who are looking for a quiet, relaxing stay.

Everything went great, except for the way I was treated by the receptionist David. I arrived May 3 and on May 5, I went out to a local club with 2 others: David, and a hostel guest. Before this night, David had been very nice to me, initiating a lot of our conversations. When I didn't want to dance alone with David, he tells me we have to go back to the hostel, but the guest told me I can stay with her. After that night, David ignored me completely, never even saying hello. When I informed Ana and Victoria, and I did not feel supported. They defend him without giving my story any credibility.

Nos gustaría Tamara, que explicaras bien todo. Para empezar nos contastes lo de David, el día antes de irte, es decir un mes después, no es que no te apoyáramos es que no sabíamos nada.
Creemos que tienes un problema de confianza, porque ya sabes que tuviste problema en compartir habitación con otro voluntario chico, porque no te parecía bien dormir sola con otro hombre....era un compañero Tamara, hombre o mujer ...da igual, un chico entrañable que no te iba hacer nada...aún asì, sabes que hicimos que otra chica durmiera en la habitación para que no te sintieras mal.
David lleva con nosotras muchìsimos años, han pasado por aqui un monton de voluntarias y nunca, repetimos, nunca, ha tenido comportamientos inadecuados con ninguna, confiamos en este sentido en David 100 por 100.
Que os llevèis mejor o peor, o que no hayas sido de su agrado por cuestiones que son ajenas al funcionamiento del Hostel, mientras no haya existido faltas de respeto, acoso , insultos, violencia o conductas que nosotras jamàs permetirìamos...menos a una mujer....nosotras no podemos entrar, lo único que os aconsejamos a los dos es que hablàrais y aclaraseis la situaciòn....repito...un dia antes de tu marcha.
Te hemos evaluado con un cinco estrellas, no se de donde sacas que hemos desacreditado tu trabajo...
Eres muy joven Tamara y tienes mucho que aprender, sobre todo que no se le puede gustar a todos los hombres y que la igualdad y equidad entre sexos es fundamental para avanzar en el Mundo.

My experience was great. The hostel is cozy and small, the vibes are very familiar. Vicky, Ana, and David are lovely people. The tasks are repetitive, but easy and I had a lot of free time. Keep in mind that Spanish is the main spoken language and that in the winter the place can be pretty cold.

I had a lovely time at the guest house and felt at home immediately. The work wasn't too difficult, and I had a lot of time to meet new people and visit the town. Ana and Victoria are so friendly and kind and treat you like family. The only thing I would have done differently is learn more Spanish to have a deeper connection with the native speakers. I would recommend this hostel to anyone who does not mind getting out of their comfort zone and loves new people.
