Esta fue una experiencia maravillosa, ha sido el tercer voluntariado que he hecho en Japón y por lejos ha sido el mejor de todos. Las horas de trabajos son adecuadas y flexibles, el trabajo no es difícil de realizar y se te entrega una guía de tareas. Kaz es bastante atento además de que nos incentiva a realizar actividades junto con los voluntarios y la comunidad de Komae, ha sido una de mis mejores experiencias en voluntariado y la recomiendo totalmente! ♥

If you are looking for flexibility and a lot of free time for your trip, this is your place! Komae it's a lovely quiet small community, very calm and friendly, I personally liked it a lot. Kaz made frequently pizza party's for us, very fun.

I am so thankful for this experience. I had the opportunity to meet a lot of travelers and to visit Tokyo everyday. the guest house is such a nice community, every 2 weeks you will be invited to a pizza karaoke party where you will have the chance to meet everyone, japanese local people and make new friends! The shared room (double) in the AB building is cozy and warm in winter. The kitchen is well equipped and there are 3 big shared bathrooms. Kaz was incredibly kind in my journey before coming to Japan; it was my firs time travelling so far, and I had tons of questions. Thank you so much!

This was truly one of the most amazing volunteer jobs ever! From the working shifts to the people all over the world also staying there. Kaz the boss was also very cool with throwing parties so many times. At those there were free pizzas and drinks for free 🤩 The working hours were very very reasonable and you had so much time to explore Tokyo and all other places around, because you could also take the train into the other direction to Yokohama, Kamakura and many other beautiful places. Really recommend staying in the guest house 🏡 Best regards from Germany, An-Nam :)

My stay at Komae was great! The tasks are easy to handle and most of them are done much quicket than you might expect. You can easily connect with other international travellers in the lounge and at the partys. It is only half an hour from Shinjuku Station by train and you can explore Tokyo flexibly due to the flexible working times. I can't emphasize enough how fair the deal actually is! I had a lot of fun at Komae, thank you :)

I had a great time at the guest house. The Managers are nice and fun to be around at and Kaz is a really caring host. The international and national guests at the guest house are great as well and I had a great time with them. The work is straigh foward and also not too much and the pizza partys, hostet by Kaz are a great opportunity to connect with locals and to just have fun with everyone, especialy with Kaz's dog Balu!

I had a great time at Komae! Everyone is really nice and welcoming. Kaz always plans some events for everyone to join, so it's really easy to connect with other people. The work is really fair, and I had plenty of time to explore Tokyo. I would definitely recommend Komae!

We had the chance to make really good friends here, everyone is nice and welcomes you, when you get here. We would recommend this experience to everyone. I was only there for six weeks, but it was the best time of my life. I met amazing people from all over the world. The host, Kaz, and the managers are welcoming and kind, and quickly make you feel at home. Mr. Kaz occasionally throws fun parties where you can socialize with lots of people while singing karaoke! The work is easy to manage and allows you to explore Tokyo in your free time. The place is easily accessible to the city center and is located in a quiet area. I miss everything and hope to have the opportunity to return one day.

I only stayed for one month, but I wish that I stayed much longer! I had an amazing experience, everyone was really friendly and kind, included the host! The tasks are very easy and manageable, the working hours are flexible and always respected. You can meet many people from all over the world and the party on the rooftop (with an amazing view) was really lovely! You can enjoy a quiet place while being easily connected to busier areas of Tokyo. There is also a great running trail nearby Tama River. I hope to be back soon!
