My fellow volunteers made my time amazing in Alvor. With the work, we were not told what we were doing for the day until the morning, which was an issue for me. Tasks ranged from sweeping and mopping, preparing breakfast for the guests, and cleaning rooms. Other days the work was harder like clearing overgrown weeds or cleaning an entire house. The hours were 8am-1pm and were always stuck to, and Cristina was flexible with what day we wanted off. There we no cooking facilities in the house I was in except a microwave so you may not be able to cook (there are two houses for volunteers).

As my first experience, I would like to say that it was a good one. The host and the other volunteers received me and treated me very well. Everyone was always very willing to help me and teach me what to do in all the activities. The accommodation was comfortable. Alvor is a tranquility seaside town. I would like to leave my special thanks to Fabio who helped me with everything from start to finish. Besides learning from the whole experience, what made me happiest was that I made a friend for life. A 20-star person. Thank you very much Cristina and all the other volunteers, I hope to see you.

I had a lovely experience at Alvor, the hosts are super kind and the other volunteers were amazing! The work was mostly picking berries and cleaning out a green house, it was intense at times but nice to be around nature! The work was in a good balance with free time :)

Minha experiência em Alvor foi incrível. Me trataram com muito carinho a todo momento e foram receptivos. A Cristina e o Joaquim são pessoas muito boas, as voluntarias Nayara e Sueli me ajudaram muito e o João foi muito legal comigo também. Recomendo a todos, as praias da região são lindas, os horários foram respeitados e o trabalho foi bom para aprender coisas novas.

O localização é muito boa, tem transporte, praias lindíssima, bares, restaurantes, artistas de rua, vida bem badalada para que curti. As tarefas foram dentro do combinado, para mim foi ótimo as tarefas com o João e a Cristina no seu projeto e execução, pude aprender com eles o que me agregou mais conhecimento e bagagem utilizando todos recursos com muita criatividade e pensando do meio ambiente.

Foi muito massa, cada dia foi muito especial, nao poderia ter melhores companheiros para essa experiencia, única e inesquecível. A dona Cristina e seu Esposo são pessoas muito simpáticas e acolhedoras nos trataram como filhos, Fábio responsável pelo local e muito organizado e sempre na contenção para o que for preciso! deixo um pedacinho de saudade nesse lugar e a vontade de voltar !

Falar desse Voluntariado em Alvor é muito fácil, Foi fantástica a minha experiência com a Cristina, Sr Joaquim, João, eles são pessoas fantásticas energia para mais de metro, ela realmente é ligada sempre, mas um coração gigante, só tenho q agradecer por todos os momentos que estive aí com vcs, trabalho foi tranquilo, respeitando todas as horas. E os outros Voluntários foram uma turma fantástica, obrigada tbm a Fábio, Nayara e Sueli.

Cristina is an amazing person and along with the other helpers/volunteers they make the small Alvor a rare gem. Work has been fair and square what agreed, as well as the hours, Cristina is super flexible, she let us finish earlier when we had to go to Benagil, the city is nice, full of bars and people! Obrigado for the experience, See you soon.

Pessoalmente uma importante experiência pude aprender coisas novas que antes nunca havia feito, principalmente na questão de limpeza de quartos e apts. Aos poucos fomos construindo como uma família. Saudades!

Cristina was an excellent host! She always asked us if we are doing well and treated us like family. She even helped us drive to a hospital when we had a health problem. A very kind person and a great host.
