Adorei estar aqui. A Cristina é uma linda e cheia de boas energias. Me tratou muito bem , como se fosse um membro da família mesmo. O marido dela , os outros voluntários e todos que mantive contato tbm são muito gentis e educados. Só tenho a agradecer por esses dias . Espero um dia voltar para fazer algum outro tipo de trabalho ou mesmo me hospedar. Gratidão 🙏 .

A nice place, but I didn't know I would be the only english speaker in the team. This thing made me feel very left out and made me leave after one day. Also the hostel is closed and the work is done at other place.

Our stay at the guest house was our first voluntary experience. The tasks were different than expected because at our arrival the hostel was closed, so we had to do some other stuff like helping to clean the house, garden and the garage. It was a surprise every day because we were not told our tasks beforehand, but only when they were to be done. The tasks were not sophisticated and we didn't worked all the 5 hours. We had a lot of fun with the other volunteers. Alvor is a very nice village with a lot of bars and restaurants and the beach is only a few minutes away. It was great, thank you! :)

I met some great people during this trip. The other volunteers welcomed me with open arms. The place is really clean and modern. One of the things I didn't like that we sometimes wouldn't get any informations about our tasks before hand, they would just tell us “come with us” rather then explaining where we going, how long I will have to stay and to give me time to collect my things to take with me

Mi experiencia en la casa ha sido positiva. El equipo de trabajo es muy acogedor, divertido y amable; es muy fácil sentirse cómodo con ellos. Se trabaja bastante, pero a las 13:00 ya tienes libre para relajarte y disfrutar de las playas del Algarve.

Alvor is a beautiful village on the sea, the beach is reachable in a few minutes and you can easily walk on the sea up to the typical Algarve's rocks. Cristina is nice and the accommodation is ok but the work is a bit hard

Esse foi meu segundo voluntariado e eu amei. Conheci pessoas que levarei para a vida e pude praticar outros idiomas, aprender como se monta um verdadeiro café da manhã (rs) e ser mais sociável. Se voce nao se importa de dividir quarto com até 6 pessoas, não é muito de cozinhar e ama uma praia, esse é o lugar certo! Fica bem pertinho da praia, porém não podemos usar o fogão para cozinhar, apenas o micro-ondas, mas por uma semana deu pra me adaptar, mais que isso, eu não saberia dizer. No geral dona Cristina é maravilhosa, uma boneca, super energética, ligada no 220w, mas de um coração enorme.

I stayed at the guest house for two weeks, keep in mind that you work 6 days in a row and the 7th is your day off so I got one day off whilst volunteering for 2 weeks. All staff and volunteers are lovely, mainly spoke in Portuguese so if English is your only language (like me) it can take a while to get comfortable with them speaking around you in Portuguese. I worked 8-1 everyday and my jobs where consistent. I was mainly helping prepare breakfast until around 9am and then I would go off to other guest houses and help clean.

Alvor es un pueblo muy pequeño, pero muy lindo, no tiene muchos servicios pero tiene un supermercado. Se comparte pieza con otras 8 personas y solo hay un baño, la cocina solo tiene un microondas para cocinar. El trabajo comienza a las 8 am y se termina a las 1 pm. nosotras no conectamos mucho con Cristina, ella es muy energetica, acelerada y habla alto, creo que lo que nos hizo sentir que no conectamos fue el hecho que ella es una persona que te toca mucho, te agarra el brazo, hombro y eso es algo que no me gusta, si no tu no tienes problema con eso puedes pasarla bien.
