Life at the hostel was super! The guys are very easy-going, funny, helpful and kind. They listened and accepted all my requests for the free time I had for traveling (thank you very much guysss). The job is not difficult at all, it's basically cleaning and tidying the hostel's rooms, and if there's a lot to do, you're never left alone doing it. The other people were very nice and friendly, I definitely made new friends and learned a little bit of spanish too. We shared a lot of funny stuff and we laughed a lot. I recommend this experience to everyone! I'll be back one day 💗

It was a fantastic experience, I felt very comfortable from the beginning. I was able to experience a lot of beautiful scenery and local culture. I can only thank the staff at the hostel and highly recommend it. I would come back without hesitation.

I've had a great time at the hostel. I've had the opportunity to meet people from different countries and they were all friendly and helpful. The tasks that the volunteers have to do are not difficult, we are trained before we start and when the hostel is busy and there are lots of rooms to clean the manager and assistant manager give you a hand you don't feel overloaded with work. The team is great and the hostel is a charming sunny city on the east of Scotland. I highly recommend this experience for travelers who want to visit Scotland, not only Edinburgh. Thanks, guys!!

I spent just under a month at the hostel and I found everyone warm, welcoming and really friendly. The staff in particular went out of their way to make me feel welcome and introduce me to the hostel. Would highly recommend!

The hostel is kept incredibly clean, the kitchen is well equipped with everything you may need, laundry facilities work perfectly, and towels are provided. Location is perfect, right in the middle of city center. Work was easy and went by quick. Due to Covid the hostel was very quiet, so we would finish early. As for the people, they're some of the warmest and most welcoming individuals I've ever met. Tons of fun playing games or watching films together. Laura was super understanding about the fact I had to leave early, which I definitely still appreciate. I'll definitely be back there! ❤

The hostel super incredible. The people are super wonderful, Laura, Hervé and Cris are very welcoming and kind! From the first day I arrived, I felt at home. Regarding my work and schedules, super easy and flexible. The hostel is also very cozy with several spaces for you to do exactly what you like, such as a games room, reading room, TV room. The hostel is close to many cool places. Sincerely I will take from the hostel only good memories. Thanks for everything!

My experience in the hostel was amazing! The job is easy, very organized and done in team. It feels nice to be in a such old building! I went in the winter, so I stood inside almost the whole time. There are several options of places to take your computer and do your own stuff. The reading room, the dinning room, the games rooms, the research room... I recomend for those who work as digital nomads. Once in a while people from the staff organize communal dinners. It's great! I miss that already! Thank you Laura and Hervé!

Laura is one of the most unique and special human beings you will have the honor of meeting. There's nothing she won't do for you, she is so accommodating, funny, and caring once you get to know her. She even let me stay longer because of this entire Coronavirus situation. You will not be disappointed if you come here and get to work with her. The work is soooo fair and she is so flexible with the schedule so you can go travel on your off days. I will never forget my time here. Thank you ❤️

What can I say? the hostel is heaven on earth <3 From the first day I arrived, I felt welcome and even went out with the staff on my very first night and had a blast. The remaining days were also wonderful as they are very welcoming and kind, truly good people <3 Regarding my work and schedules, super reasonable and not at all difficult. You just have to do your work, apply teamwork skills, and you're set :D The hostel also is very cozy and close to many cool places. I will sincerely miss everyone and remember DBH with the warmest of memories. Thanks for all the love!
