I would definitely recommend staying with the host. You will feel totally comfortable being there, they are a very kind family, and you will laugh a lot with them. You will also meet many people from different parts of the world, and you will share much living at home. Teaching children will be something that will keep you active and you will laugh a lot with them. You will do it right away with the area and you will have time to know different places.

I was curious to live with a local family, so I decided to apply for Mr. Dungs Project. You'll live together with his family and other volunteers. Everybody is fun and friendly here. I enjoy going to the local markets, discovering a new culture. At the begining, teaching the Kids was very challenging, but you'll get assistance, so don't worry :P On your free days, you can visit the surrounding cities with other volunteers, or experience the nightlife of Hanoi. I planned to stay for two weeks, but I decided to stay for 2-3 weeks more. Give it a try, ist fun!

We have to admit: at the beginning it was a little confusing (mostly because it was our first experience in something like this) as we didn't understand exactly how things were going to happen and when you arrive to the house everything is very natural and relaxed. HOWEVER, as soon as you ask for help, everyone will give you a hand and Mr. Dung was amazing to us when we needed him! You will have a confortable place to sleep, great food and unforgetable friends. This is an INCREDIBLE experience and for sure it was a big highlight in our one-year-travel. We just regret.. Not staying longer!!

The month I spent with Mr. Dung, his family and the other volunteers I'd propably be one of the best memories I'll get from my trip. They made me feel like home. We had lots of fun and with the kids too. The classes are diverse but you'll have all the resources you'll need. These kids love to meet foreigners and learn from you, so be ready to socialize. If you volunteer in Yepvin you learn as much as you teach. Great experience. I'm going to miss you all!!!

If you're thinking of having a meaningful and enjoyable experience, then just pack your bags and go! Staying with Mr. Dung is definitely worth it. His family was so kind, the accomodations were great, and the food was delicious! On top of that, the kids we taught were the sweetest. <3

I actually got lost in the city during my day off and Mr Dung came to pick me up late in the night... My stay with the family has been a life changing experience! Mr. Dung and his family treated me like I'm a member of their family and I felt at home right away when I got there. I couldn't explain in words how I am truly thankful and grateful that I have met them. Teaching the kids was quite challenging but I felt so happy after all. The local volunteers were also accomodating. I've become friends with them too! One of them (Lua) offered me to come to her house and even showed me her hometown. I've gained a lot of friends in Vietnam! I will definitely come back there and stay longer!

Since the time i arrived in the airport and saw the family smiling and waving at me, i knew, i was in a safe place. It was proven as i knew the family of the host. His wife, Ms. Lanh, is a very good cook. I love all her menu. Though it's just simple, all of it is delicious and even decided to try it back home :) Mark, the cutie patootie Mark and Mr. Bean who always loves to say awesome are their children whom i learned to love. They are smart and nice kids! Mr. Dung is a kind man, too. No doubt the kids as well. He's friendly, approachable and a funny man. You will feel at home around them.

The community is a nice guy and his family is just lovely. I expended two week and it was just great . You live with other volunteer and share cultures and experiences and also learn Vietnamese culture and food. The experience doing clases is has fun and also hard, sometimes the kids don't understand and that is, have the atención is a little hard but is a really good experience is you just want to challenge your self. And also they help you with tips how to get better and you also you can share experiences teaching. I absolutely will come back some day, it was just a amazing experience! thank

The family was wonderful! They were extremely warm and welcoming to me. I'm so happy I came to Vietnam, and volunteered to help this family. The children are so cute, and eager to learn. This is a great opportunity.
