The experience was truly heartwarming. From the first day I was warmly welcomed by the children as well as the teachers and Emma and Jackson. Working with the children was wonderful. They give you so much love and look forward to seeing you! (There are four different schools, including a muslim school, so remember to bring the right clothing for cultural and religious reasons). The working hours were respected, and it was never a problem to get a day off for weekend activities. In our free time Jackson always helped us to organize activities and was always there for us. Asante Jackson ❤️

The experience as a volunteer was wonderful. I had good moments such as: inserting myself into a different culture with another language, developing my English through teaching and contact with other volunteers, connecting with the children. Volunteering is in a remote area of Dar Es Salaam. So, problems common to this reality were periodic lack of running water and energy. Emma and Jackson's attention was excellent. I felt safe and supported for whatever was necessary. Communication is always attentive to the needs of volunteers and they are always open to improvements. I recommend.

Volunteering was a remarkable chapter in my medical career. For 3 weeks I had the privilege of working with other doctors in various departments of local hospital, including emergency department, surgery ward and OBGYN. I gained a lot of practical skills and had the opportunity to care for patients with tropical diseases. Beyond hospital walls, the organization's flexibility allowed me to explore the organization's beauty and culture. I spent my free time visiting the city. Dr William introduced me to the hospital director and ensured I had a supervisor during my time at the hospital :)

This was the first time for me and my wife as volunteers. Organization Emmanuel and Jackson are very helpful and kind. Always taking care of our needs and checking if things are in order, all we have to do is ask. Their work to the children/community is important Community Simple life and few resources. During theday you can walk, go to the market etc House 5-min walk to school. A few times electricity was out and no running water. Overall: ok Food Homemade style. I liked it. But low on proteins. School Kids are kind and loving. Teachers, respectful and committed I recommend? Absolutely!

I had a fantastic time during the project! I can honestly recommend it to every medical student, it is a good way of discovering different healthcare systems and an opportunity to learn a lot of practical competencies. It is also a good moment to explore the organization, working hours are flexible and it is not a problem to manage also this aspect of the experience. Everyone I met there was super helpful and amazingly nice to us. I feel safe and comfortable and I wish to go to the project again in the future :)

It was amazing experience to participate in this project. The idea to do the internship in Mwananyamala Hospital was great. I've learned a lot. The staff in this hospital was open to us and willing to explain everything. Our host Asha was also very nice. We felt like home. Dr William who was taking care of us was very helpful. A month in the organization was enough for our first experience. We had lots of free time to explore the organization. To sum up, I really recommend this project if you want to gain medical experience and get to know how healthcare system looks like in the organization.

I had an incredible stay. Jackson and Emmanuel made me feel welcome and at home from the day one. They were there to support you all the way. Please note that you will be living in a rural village, it might be a shock for some people, for me it was not. People in the village are so friendly and the kids are the most amazing. the organization is extremely beautiful, I felt safe my whole stay. I will miss every one I met during my stay! Thank you so much. Asante sana, nakupenda sana forever! ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

It is nowhere near just teaching at school. There is a vibrant culture and bustling markets everywhere you go. You can go on safari or see some of their many islands. It's truly a mind-blowing and one of a kind experience!

My experience in the organization was truly amazing! Emma is very helpful and the kids are really friendly and excited to learn. Not only did I get to help in the school but I also got to see so many beautiful places with the other volunteers. I 100% recommend this experience! Can't wait to go back!

Spent 2 weeks and a half here the best experience of my life. I stayed with Emma and his family, all lovely supporting and caring. I felt like home. I went to school from Monday to Friday and the children were lovely. They literally angels full of energy to play and learn. The locals are so lovely and they talk to you to get to know you. Everybody is so helpful. If you have doubts about this volunteering DONT! You HAVE to do it because it will change your life. Thank you so much for everything❤️
