It was a great experience especially because of the family that was created among the volunteers. The work can be tiring, especially the shifts at the front desk, but having several days off a week allows you to travel a lot. It was my first experience as a volunteer and it was incredible.

I stayed at the hostel for 2 weeks, everyday we volunteers met at 11 am and the daily tasks were clearly explained to us, the work in general consist of cleaning rooms, bathrooms and common areas. The hostel is nice and full of travellers from all over the world, I really had a great time here. In your free time you will be able to go around the city (from the hostel you can easily reach the center by tram) and you will also have the possibility of organizing short trips on your free days, I recommend!

Everything here is straight forward. You'll need to do housekeeping job as described. You'll have free time to get to know the city and meet other travelers, you'll never feel alone. Overall all a very great experience 😊

My nearly 3 weeks at the hostel were some of the best of my life. the fellow volunteers i met were my family away from home and i will always treasure our community, what they taught me, and the memories made. the work itself can be hard at times, not the most glamorous- but when it's done you have freedom and a safe community to spend your days with. the work teaches you responsibility and good work ethic. i'm so grateful for my experience here (maybe not including the toilet cleaning ;) ). i would highly recommend this to solo travellers, love you the hostel team 🤍

For a first time volunteer it was a very good experience, the other volunteers were very nice as well as the hostel team. However, if you want to be a volunteer, bear in mind that Zagreb is a fairly small city and you can quickly do the rounds of the places to visit.

My experience at the hostel was incredible! I spent there a month, it was my first time as a volunteer in a hostel and it really exceeded my expectations. The hostel is very nice and well connected to the city centre by tram. The working hours are fair and always respected and the tasks are simple and well explained. I loved the family atmosphere I lived there, the other volunteers were so amazing!! I'll never forget the moments we shared, I'm so grateful. Thank you Mia, Anja and Eva for everything, for giving me this opportunity and for hosting me. I really recommend this experience!!

This experience is one I will never forget fro housekeeping to reception and Mia and Svan helping me along the way they always time for their staff and it feel like A real family vibe…. This was my first volunteering experience with Worldpackers so I wasn't sure of what to expect but it completely exceeded my expectations! The other volunteers are so warm and genuine I really will miss them. The work is easy and well organised as Mia runs a tight ship, so there is never any confusion about what to do or who's doing what. The hostel is in a great location as it's right next to a tramline which means you can visit most places in Zagreb quite easily. I am really pleased I decided to volunteer here and would recommend others to do the same! Thanks Mia and all that were with me!
