My time at Casa d'Alagoa was awesome! It was my first time ever volunteering/travelling abroad, and I'm very happy to have been with the hostel team. Work is split between housekeeping and dinner/breakfast shifts. The housekeeping is hard! But it goes by fast and the housekeeping staff are very kind. Bring water, fan, bandaids! The dinner shifts are super fun, social and engaging with delicious food. The room at Casa is hot! Communication between staff/volunteers was sometimes unclear, but the team is great and easy to work with. Overall I had an amazing time, can't wait to go back! :D

Minha experiência foi muito boa, precisei chegar mais cedo que o combinado e eles foram muito flexíveis em relação a isso. Voluntariei na parte de housekeeping e nos jantares para os hospedes, tanto na Casa d,Alagoa quanto no the hostel. A cozinha compartilhada é otima e bem equipada, compartilhei um quarto com outras 3 voluntarias e os horários foram respeitados. Foi meu primeiro voluntariado fora do Brasil e aprendi muito. Obrigada!

Working at the hostel was my first experience with volunteering, and I'm amazed by this opportunity! At first, it was a bit challenging because I'd never done housekeeping before, but after a couple of days, I started helping with the dinner service every night. It was incredible! It's a great opportunity to meet new people who come as guests, as well as the staff working there. During the day, I had plenty of time to do whatever I wanted,and in the afternoon/evening, I was in charge of the dinners and specials events. I highly reccomend trying this experience!

I spent very good time in hostelicius,I help with the housekeeping and in the restaurant,the hostel is located very central so is excellent to explore Faro city.The schedule is fair,the food is beautiful I meet a lot of new travellers and volunteers,it was nice experience,thank you Hostelicius Team

Lovely staff, amazing food, a clean hostel and many travelers to meet. Volunteering at the hostel was all in all an amazing experience, but I recommend not staying for too long because there isn't much to do in Faro after a few days.

It was a great pleasure to volunteer at the hostel, the staff was very attentive and friendly. The structure of the Hostel is incredible. The working hours are respected. To get to the nearest beach you need to take a 30-minute ferry, the city is small but offers everything: shopping mall, cinema, markets, airport, bus station and nearby train. I thank you with all my heart to have the opportunity to be there and meet such special people. ❤️

O hostel é ótima, tem excelentes instalações, o café da manhã é bom e o jantar que servem é maravilhoso. Podemos acompanhar o pub crawl gratuitamente, os passeios também são gratuitos. Eu realmente adorei e recomendo.

A minha passagem pelo hostel foi rápida. Toda a equipe e voluntários são muito receptivos, me receberam super bem e me deram todas as orientações necessárias para desenvolver o voluntariado. Eles são bem organizados quanto as tarefas e escala de trabalho que é mensal, o que é ótimo pois ajuda a organizar os passeios durante as folgas. No mais, Faro é uma cidade histórica aconchegante é possível fazer tudo a pé. As baladas são super legais tbm. Toda minha gratidão a cada uma das pessoas que cruzaram meu caminho no hostel e Casa d'alagoa. Espero voltar qualquer dia. :)

Queria agradecer a oportunidade de ter a minha primeira experiência como voluntário a Michelle que me proporcionou isso e sempre foi muito prestativa comigo, eu queria mesmo agradecer um a um mas ficaria muito longo o staff do hostel sempre me tratou muito bem desde o primeiro dia desde o pessoal da limpeza, ao pessoal da cozinha e recepção todas as areas foram muito receptivas, o trabalho é tranquilo. So tenho como estar agradecido pelo melhor momento que passei em Portugal.
