Calling all wildlife, nature, and documentary photographers! Join Wanderframe at Mangrove Ecotourism Bagek Kembar to document and catalog diverse bird species in their natural mangrove habitat. Capture mangrove landscapes, wildlife behaviors, and community engagement to create visuals for the ecotourism website. Your work supports ethical ecotourism, conservation, and long-term storytelling while collaborating with the local community.


Actividades & Turnos

Core Activities

Photograph and catalog mangrove bird species, nests, and behaviors
Document mangrove landscapes, forest trails, and community activities (with consent)
Capture visuals for the Bagek Kembar ecotourism website
Participate in data collection and citizen science initiatives for bird monitoring
Join briefings, debriefs, and workshops on wildlife photography and ethical observation

Daily Shifts

Morning Shift (06:00 – 10:00)
Best light for birdwatching, wildlife, and mangrove landscapes
Conduct bird surveys and document species activity

Midday Break (10:00 – 14:00)
Rest, backup files, light editing, and community interaction
Optional workshops or data entry for cataloging

Afternoon Shift (14:00 – 17:30)
Focus on community engagement, local mangrove activities, and golden hour photography
Continue bird observation and cataloging

Notes

Shifts may adjust depending on weather or local activities
Volunteers work independently or in small groups
No night photography required
Safety, environmental protection, and consent are top priorities

Respect the Community
Always ask for consent before photographing people or private spaces. Locals are partners, not subjects.

Follow Ethical Observation & Photography Guidelines
Do not disturb birds, nests, or mangrove habitats. Avoid staged scenes or misrepresentation.

Use Your Own Equipment Responsibly
Bring and manage your camera gear safely, especially around water and wildlife.

Protect Mangrove Ecosystem & Wildlife
Do not damage plants, disturb wildlife, or leave litter. Stay on marked trails.

Safety Comes First
Follow instructions from local guides, particularly near water, slippery areas, or dense mangroves.

Respect Cultural Norms
Dress appropriately and follow local customs at all times.

Image & Data Usage Agreement
Photos and bird observations will be shared with the community and Wanderframe for non-commercial use. Volunteers retain credit.

Professional Conduct
Be punctual, communicate clearly, and treat fellow volunteers, staff, and locals with respect.

No Alcohol or Substance Use During Activities
Volunteers must remain fully aware and responsible during all fieldwork.

Follow Local Coordination
Final decisions in the field are made by local facilitators and Wanderframe coordinators.
