Winning Ways Ranch

Volunteers who have a dream of living the cowgirl/cowboy lifestyle will have an opportunity to live this experience. There are many animals and each has it's own personality that becomes evident as the helpers enjoy their company. Volunteers can learn not only about ranching, horses, and nature but more about themselves through equine assisted learning. Most helpers find there is always something going on--we play as hard as we work.

Quote from a farmer volunteer: "The life on the ranch is never dull and Kelly is a strong women who will make sure you get the full experience of Western Canada (she arranged for us to spend a day at the rodeo and is always eager to share her knowledge). It was challenging but so worth it, I'd do it again!"

Winning ways is amazing. Coming from a farming background it was exactly what I needed to see the different avenues in agriculture that just aren't in England. Kelly really took me in with open arms and over the 6 months I was here I developed as a person. I would highly recommend winning ways if you are ready to work, there is always something happening and there are no true "days off" a ranch is a busy place so there will always be animals to feed but our break days were going to cool events like rodeos or pow wows or or going to a fiddle dance. Thank you Kelly for an adventure!

Coming to Kelly’s was probably one of the best decisions ever.I lived my best life for two months… Was the happiest I had ever been, met wonderful people, made great friends for life. This trip helped me emotionally and spiritually. Kelly is also a very good listener and I learned a lot from her, done so much during my stay, went to see barrel racing, chuckwagon races, did a branding, cattle drive, parade in town, went to see a rodeo, on fun trail rides, saw the northern lights and even did a competition with Kelly’s horses!
I’ll be forever grateful to Kelly and Winning Ways !

It was my first experience and I really loved it. If you come at Kelly’s ranch, you will never be bored. I am discovered lots of news things. I loved being with animals every days . And when I am arrived, my english was not very good, but Kelly never left me out and she is helped me. Moreover, she always listened my requests ( for leisure activities) and she found solutions to please me even if the timetable was busy. Thank you very much Kelly.

Amazing experience in Winning Ways. If you want to discover the ranch lifestyle, that’s the place to go ! We need to feed animals twice a day every day and during the day, we have several activities depends of the ranch needs. You can repair fences, checking cows, riding horses and having horse riding lessons to assist.
Every volunteers help for the house cleaning, dishes and cooking.
It’s was a real lifestyle experience, hard work but worth it !

Had such a fun experience here I learned a lot and I even stayed longer than I had originally planned. Kelly welcomed us and made us feel part of the family, she always answered my questions and encouraged us to learn. Be prepared for lots of work but it is so worth it !
