Tropicana Hostel

Considerado uno de los hostales mas famosos de Antigua, localizado a solo 100 metros del parque central y a 600 metros del conocido Arco de Santa Catalina, con una vista espectacular hacia los volcanes Agua, Acatenango y Fuego.

El Hostal es un espacio muy seguro y ameno, siempre con una vibra muy positiva por parte del staff. También es un lugar perfecto para conocer otros viajeros, aprender idiomas e intercambio cultural. Además de los descuentos y beneficios que ofrece el voluntariado, tales como tours, hospedaje, alimentación y propinas.

Tener en cuenta que el hostal tiene música alta de 11 am a 10pm, y que puede ser ruidoso por los tours de Acatenango y los bares del hostal.

El hostal cuenta con dos bares, los cuáles son atendidos por un alegre grupo de voluntarios, esto con la guía del bar mánager. Siempre trabajando en equipo y con el respeto como prioridad. No se permite ningún tipo de agresión de cualquier índole, entre voluntarios o con los huéspedes. Siempre abiertos a una comunicación clara y sin duda nuestro mayor prioridad es que nuestro staff tenga una experiencia inolvidable en nuestro hostal!

If you are considering volunteering at Tropicana, do it! It was an unforgettable experience that I would recommend to anyone.The hostel has such a welcoming atmosphere and the staff made it feel like a home away from home from the first day. Working behind the bar is so fun, you get to connect with people around the world and help create the social atmosphere the hostel is known for. The balance between working and free time is great, especially because the environment is so high-energy and social that it rarely even feels like a job. Big thank you to Charlie, Alonso and the whole Tropi Team🫶🏻

Tropicana Hostal was a fun and amazing expérience that I higly recommand. I want to thank the whole teams especially Alonso, Charlie, Raquel, Estuardo, Erik and Alex for their warm welcoming.
The job is really easy and allows to meet people from all over the world. The 2 days off give you the opportunity to explore the surrounding area, including the Acatenango volcano.

Volunteering at Tropicana was such an amazing and fun experience! From the very first day, the staff and other volunteers made it feel like a true home away from home! The work never felt like a job, it was social, enjoyable and I met so many incredible people from all over the world!
Learning bartending was an extra highlight and something I really enjoyed. On working days, you get one free meal and all of them were genuinely delicious! On your 2 days off you can go volcanohiking, which is highly recommended or explore beautiful Antigua!
Overall, it was a unique and unforgettable experience!
