The Hostel is in a great location. It’s centrally located in Faro and everything is within walking distance. The tasks were simple and easy to do, the workers at Tilia were kind and friendly and easy going.
The shifts were 5hrs a day and depending on if you worked reception that week, you would work 7hrs during the night, from midnight to 7am for 3 days. After those 3 days, you would get 3 days off and it’s very good.
For sleeping, the dorms for volunteers were the best I’ve ever encountered while volunteering. It was very spacious with a shared bathroom between you and 3 other people.

I had a great time and Tilia! I met a lot of really cool other people who were both guests and other volunteers. Faro was a good base to visit other cities such as Lagos, and Seville even. Would recommend if you enjoy a peaceful and chill environment :)

Staying at Tilia Hostel was an unforgettable experience! I met amazing people from all over the world, and it quickly felt like being part of a big family <3 The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always making sure everyone feels at home.
The working hours and facilities are super well organized, which made everything smooth and enjoyable. On my days off, I had the chance to explore the whole of Portugal
If you’re looking for a place where you’ll feel connected, supported, and surrounded by great vibes, Tilia Hostel is the place. Highly recommend :)

I really enjoyed my stay at Tilia Hostel! The staff is super nice and friendly, the hours of work are fully respected, and Faro is a beautiful and peacefull place! If you want to meet new people everyday, you have to come here!
