We are proud to be one of Colorado’s first certified B-Corps in the hospitality industry and Summit County’s first overall certified B-Corp. Our vision is to be as socially & environmentally responsible as possible. We want to inspire not only our guests, but our colleagues and community as well, by showcasing how a business can create a positive impact for people & the planet through thoughtful consideration of employee equality & wages, product procurement, waste & recycling, and support for local artisans and businesses.

Volunteers will treated as part of the family! Accommodation will be in a 6 bed shared dormitory. Come spend time with us in our mountain paradise and enjoy everything there is to enjoy about the Colorado Rockies!

Staying at The Pad was a super cool exerience. Lynn and Rob the owners of The Pad were very laid back and chill in my experience. The communication started off a bit rocky but once I respectively communicated my concerns, they both respectfully acknowledged it and apologized! They were very accommodating with my schedule but do not micromanage. So if you are someone who can work withouth neccessarily being told what to do everyday, this is for you! I also had more than enough free time to get out and enjoy nature on my own! It was a peaceful 6 weeks here. Thanks Lynn & Rob!

I chose The Pad as my first Worldpackers trip because looking at their profile made it very easy! The location was a big selling point for me plus Maddie who handles scheduling at The Pad was so kind and made me feel super safe traveling 1200 miles away. Pretty much the whole main team was very kind and offered help when I needed it or if I didn't understand something. Along with the travelers coming and going I also had the opportunity to meet various locals which were all very kind. To put it simply, The Pad is a great starting opportunity for first time travelers and veterans alike.

A really beautiful experience with friendly people the whole time. I felt was my home. I would like to go back again because they make you feel you are part of the team, and more then that, sometimes like a family.
I definitely recommend The Pad to do a volunteering.

I absolutely loved being a work exchange at the pad in Silverthorne. The locals, travelers and staff members made the experience even better and I really felt like I could connect with so many unique individuals. They’re also flexible and make the opportunity really fun for the exchanges. Plus I have made lifelong friends!! I would recommend anyone wanting to check out the Rocky Mountains to apply for this program at the pad!
