The One Hostel Cat Ba
The One Hostel Catba is a platform for self-expression. Our goal is to become the #1 hostel in the world and our vision is that volunteers are an essential part of this.
We also believe in wellness and are turning Catba into a wellness center. For example, we offer bycicles for volunteers to use at no cost :)
When you start working with us, you can expect to have assistance in finding the best place for you. It may seem simple, but not everyone knows exactly what their place is in this world right now. The good news is that through real life challenges and activities, we can help with that.

It’s a new hostel with a brand new staff as we arrived so growing pains are there but the hours are simple and the discount on food and drinks is more than enough if you decide to eat in. The location is the absolute best part as it’s close to three different beaches and so many restaurants and lastly the big market is like 7 mins away. During busy season this place will be great and during slow season you just have to find ways to do things. In the end it’s a good “new” hostel and will only get better so if you have a few weeks to spare check it out

Really liked this hostel! Came during slow season so the work was slightly different than expected but still good. Staff and volunteers were great and could easily communicate changes and thoughts to them:)
Beds were comfy, rooms were a tad small and cleaning was not regular (needed to be requested) but still good!!!

The One Cat Ba was my first hostel volunteer experience, and it was amazing! I met so many travelers from all corners of the world, and I got along with the Vietnamese staff as well! The working hours were respected, the tasks are manageable, and the hostel is also open to new ideas. I mostly do night shifts, which means I get the entire day to explore the island and do all the side quests. Big shoutout to Terri for being the best volunteer coordinator out there!

I loved my time in The one hostel, I met so many people, the working hours were respected, I had time to enjoy the day, I was the yoga instructor so I just did one hour yoga class a day. Maybe for another roles is more demanding time. The food in the restaurant is good we had 50 percent discount so it's convenient. We had a fruit gathering once a week for the volunteers and Terri our volunteer coordinator was awesome.i loved everything. Thank you the one!
